Admission to Asansol Engineering College can be taken through the West Bengal joint entrance exam or JEE main exam. You can also join through management quota or direct admission but it will cost high. You will be under 30000 rank to get admitted to this college through WBJEE counseling.

I have chosen the computer Science and Engineering branch in this college for placement purposes. All faculties are very supportive and dedicated to us. Most of the faculty have done Ph.D. in a very reputed institute. Monthly tests are taken apart from CR internal exam which is very helpful to us for semester exams.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 440000 per year

It will approx 440000 to complete b.tech in computer Science from this college. And also from other departments from our college. Many scholarships are provided here like Vivekananda scholarship etc. And also some scholarship for core branches in this college like civil, electrical, and mechanical.

Campus Life

Spread over an area of more than 16 acres. The college has a modern workshop, ITC rooms, innovation centers, iip cells, and ED Cells.AEC Fiesta is the annual fest which is conducted in the month of March or April. Approx more than 65000 books are available in the central library of Asansol Engineering College. Many sports events like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball badminton, and chess are held in this college. Many clubs like hardware club science club robotics club etc available in this college to grow up your extracurricular activities.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
