Course Curriculum Overview
Computer science engineering core has excellent placement scope for future job opportunities. VIT is a good college for this course and degree. Faculties are enough. Students are a little large in number. All professors have PhD degrees. They are good. There is an excellent faculty review system as well. Every month there is an exam(CAT) apart from class tests and quizzes and PAT and assignments. The difficulty level is quite high.
Internships Opportunities
Vellore Institute of Technology promises all its students placements in established MNCs and startups. The CDC of VIT or PAT Office offers students a variety of opportunities in the placement of jobs to choose from after their course comes to an end. Companies, like Intel, eBay, Amazon, Dell, GE, Texas Instruments, Schneider Electric, DE Shaw & Co, Hitachi, HP, PayPal, Tata Motors, L&T, Dr Reddy's, Bosch, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Qualcomm, Ashok Leyland, Honda, Ford, Global Analytics, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys among others, actively take part in the placement and hiring processes with VIT.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester - students become internship and placement eligible. The top recruiters of VIT included Cognizant, Deloitte, Microsoft, JP Morgan, PwC, Nokia, Shell, and Intel. Highest package - 2Cr Average package -8LPA 95% of student gets placements
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is based on a performance basis. There are five categories of fee payment for the students depending on their VITEEE performance. 1st cat- 1.5LPA 2nd cat- 2.5LPA 3rd cat- 3.5LPA 4th cat- 4.5LPA 5th cat- 5.5LPA There are other special scholarships but scholarships are treated according to fee categories. okayish internship opportunities.
Campus Life
Annual tech fest- TechnoVIT - an exceptional fest that continues for 3 days generally. It conducts events, hackathons, codathon and various other fun and enlightening events. It's always a big hit. Happens around September or October. Annual cultural fest - Vibrance - the mega fest of VIT Chennai which is 5 times greater than TechnoVIT. Continues for 3 days filled with colours, events, music, dance, sports, food and everything. Celebrities are invited to bring more colours and auspiciousness. These are the best days in VIT. Happens during February. Sports matches include- cricket, volleyball, football, hockey, basketball etc. Music competitions- band, solo, classical and other genres. Dances are great too of all styles. There is a big and beautiful library which contains all kinds of books. There are 150+ clubs and societies where 50+ are cultural.

Eligibility is VITEEE Rank is required for admission to BTech in all branches VIT website to find the application form for admission All other details are specified on the VIT website only. The admission process is okay. Questions are tough.
