A superb experience

Well a damn good management institute for the students who wants to pursue their career specially in sales and marketing field. The institute also need to work on the operations & IT courses making it a holistic management institute producing world class professionals.

I applied for KITEE Management examination. Centre was Kolkata.1st round was aptitude.It was a online exam. Results came out after few weeks and also a mail informing that I was selected for the next GD PI round. In the GD PI round,we were called in groups and a case based topic was given in the GD round.After the GD round , we were called for PI where a faculty was there to take that. I was asked few job related question and was over in 10 mins. Few weeks later, a mail was received regarding confirmation of my selection to the institute

Course was highly updated focusing on the overall development in context to the various disciplines like Marketing Finance HR operations and IT. The first 2 semesters were focused on all the disciplines followed by a 2 month summer internship.The next 2 semesters were based on the specialised subjects the student wishes to study. Overall, a highly balanced course structure.

Yes, internship was of high priority of the entire curriculum. It has 8 credits. The college provides internship taking care of the best interest of the students.Many companies like Tata Technologies Ltd, Dabur, Mahindra ,Karvy comes to the campus to pick students for the internship program.

The institute provides ample of job opportunities to the students.Nearly 40 companies came for on campus. By which 95% of the students were placed. Rest 5% opted out for their own business. Companies like Khimji Ramdas(14LPA), TCS(5.2 LPA) ,Tata Technologies (5 LPA) , Mahindra & Manhindra(6.5 LPA), Tech Mahindra(3.5 LPA), Mahindra Finance (6 LPA), Deloitte(5.7 LPA), XL Dynamics(4.5 LPA),Karvy Finance (6 LPA), Havells (4.8 LPA), Dabur( 7.5 LPA), Blue Star (6 LPA) and many more. Average package reaches to 5 LPA (approx)

Events were always meant for development of managerial skills in a student. There was a Student development Committee (SDC) under which various clubs, namely Marketing Club, Finance Club, Technology and operations club , cultural club,sports club were created each year. The various events taking place in the campus were organised by these clubs only under expert supervision of the respective faculties.A annual b-school fest (Koloseum) is organised every year by a selected group of students which have participants from all over the country. More that 5000 students participates every year and a star night at the end making the campus buzzing

Talking about fee structure, the institute has highly feasible fee structure of 9.5 lacs for the entire course. I feel it reasonable looking at the infrastructure and the quality of management education provided which again is far more superior than any other management institute in eastern India

Yes, scholarships were offered to the students having scored above 90 percentile in CAT and top 25 students from KIITEE Management entrance exam. A waiver of 50% tuition fees is made to those students.

Ideally the institute wishes to have a 1:1 gender ratio. But it deviates slightly as the merits is also the key index the selectors prefers in selecting the students for the course. The institute always encourages extra curricular activities as the management believes it as an essential part of the course. Kalinga premier league, a cricket tournament, a football tournament and a in-house competition is organised every year where students were able to show their talents in all respect like singing, dancing, debates, designing, painting and many more.

The canteen provides quality and sufficient food to the boarders taking care of the nutritional requirements and taste of the students. The hostel is also best in quality having twin sharing and wardrobes available. The hostel have RO water along with chillers ( for summer) in every floor and there is centralised geysers( for winter). There was a separate hall with a huge LED TV provided for entertainment and also separate games room equipped with TT, Pool, caroom, chess board for recreation purpose. To maintain the quality of food,a mess committee is made which comprised of students, warden, canteen manager and a faculty. Regular checking of the quality of the food is made by the committee and feedback of the students were taken care. The entire fees is within the 9.5 lacs

A strong alumni network well maintained by the alumni club of the institute helps in creating a good interaction inspiring the young minds to be prepared for the job.

Exams and labs were highly hectic all the day, The management make sure the students were on pressure and makes the schedule highly hectic giving a taste of corporate life. All the class rooms were under CCTV surveillance reducing the chances of students trying to malpractice. Strict actions were taken if caught. But the institute also provides times for the students to chill out on various occasions so that a balanced life can be lived.

The notification comes out before the CAT/MAT results gets declared. For separate KIITEE Management exam notification comes in november.Then the GD PI starts. Students were given particular date and time for the GD PI in their preferred city. It is all well organised by the admission team of the institute.Special approvals is also made like change in timings of schedule of GD PI withing mentioned limits

Well, the faculties were mainly alumni of premier institute like IIM , XIMB,XLRI with huge industry experience. I felt as a power house of knowledge having a great passion of teaching and mentoring students to become industry ready and also reflect the brand of KIIT to the organizations.
