Likes
- Campus Life - There are numerous events going on in the college and there is a compulsion of 75% in attendance which makes the students serious about studies.
- Teachers - All the teachers are helpful and pay attention to every student of the class.
- Office Staff - The scholarship department is really helpful and helps us by providing answers to all our doubts.
Dislikes
- Location - It is too far from the developed city. Many students have travel either 2-3 hours or have to rent a PG.
- Canteen - The canteen is too small and also limited to very less options. Mostly students eats lunch from the shops near the college or from his/her homemade tiffin
- Infrastructure - The labs need a upgrade and there is beautiful pond in the campus but it needs to be cleaned
Course Curriculum Overview
I opted out for BTech in ECE because I was interested in the field of electronics and communication and see a gradual growth in the demand for ECE engineers in the market. The faculty: students ratio is about 1:30. All the teachers are doctorates in their respective fields and also have a lot of experience and guide us well through the year. There are 4 CAs and 2 PCAs per semester before the final. If you study enough it's easy to pass.
Internships Opportunities
I'm in my first year and as of now, I've not done any internship so I don't have any personal experience. But as for my seniors, they are placed with good internships. The internship companies that approached our college were all asking for money for the 1st years. They provide 2-month training with 1 minor and 1 major project.
Placement Experience
In the 7th semester, the student is eligible for placement opportunities. Byjus, Tata, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra are some companies that visit for campus placement. There were around 550 offers presented last year. Average package - 5 Lpa. Highest package - 13 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed in campus placement. My plan after getting my degree is that is to opt for MBA or MTech.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for BTech is about 4 lakhs which is around 50-60k per sem. Getting a scholarship is a bit easier than getting it in a private college since it's a government-aided college. Scholarships can be obtained from both central or state government but only any one scholarship is given NSP, Aikyashree, Kanyashree, etc. are a few you can apply for.
Campus Life
There are many annual fest and programs arranged throughout the year. Tectrix is a grand fest of tech-related competitions with a prize pool that occurs around April. There have been many more fests occurring throughout the year which are sports-related tech related literature related and etc.
Admission
Eligibility - 40% in PCM in 12th, Cracked wbjee/JEE mains. The admission is based on wbjee/JEE mains counseling. You can also take direct admission to this college if there are seats available after counseling but then you have to pay more then.
