The faculties of Goenka College are really helpful, they are always ready to help their students. All the professors are highly qualified. There are internal exams taken by the college before the final semester exams.

There are a lot of internship opportunities for the students of Goenka College. The company names are the leading solutions, bb advisories, and many more. They take interns for accounting and finance posts. They provide corporate culture to students.

Placement Experience

Students of B.Com 6th semester are eligible for campus placements. There are lots of MNCs who are visiting our college for hire. Delloite, e&y, Byjus, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. The average salary package provides by the companies is 5lakh per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very low about 3000 for the full course. Apart from this, they provide various government scholarships to their students. Swami Vivekananda scholarships are provided by the college based on merit.

Campus Life

We have a good environment for study along with other extra curriculum activities on the college campus like sports, various events, etc. We have a library and modern classrooms with a projector, and sound system. There is an annual fest placed named Quest.

Admission

Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration is the best Commerce College in West Bengal. The application process is easy. The minimum number required to apply to this College is 60% but the cut-off number is high, the last cut off 90% for this College. There are reservations for sc, st students.

Placement Experience:

There are placements in the college campus in the last semester with several companies coming for interviews such as big 4 and big 6 companies and the placements are around 60000-70000 per month after the course.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

INSIGHTS OF GCCBA

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. I got admission offers in SXUK, Jaipuria THK Jain and Bhawanipur college, But this was the best option I had. The admission process is through your boards marks. Proud to be Goenkan

I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
