Placement is Best if you compare to other College.
Faculties were highly knowledgable and helpful
Lots of Clubs were there so you can grow you extracurricular talent also

Dislikes

Sports Ground for cricket is average it should be little large
Canteen food were not up to the mark so carry your own food.
No college bus for those students who are coming form 10+ distance as because you will find little bit transportation issue in monsoon.

I choose ECE because the placement sector for the ECE department is great in FIEM all faculty members are highly knowledgable and helpful. student: faculty ratio was about 20:1 On average faculty has done PhD in their respective fields. every 3 weeks there were internal exams held and that was average difficulty

Internships Opportunities

I have done an internship in Cognizant from February month of my final sem and I am getting 12000 per month. The internship held at that time was really helpful for coming projects which you will do in the company. Many companies like Wipro, TCS, IBM all provide internships

Placement Experience

Students are applicable for placement from the 6th sem only. Approx all knowingly MNCs visit the college and new starts were also there I am telling you again placement sector is best in FIEM. there were no companies who visited and not made any offers. The average package is 400000 and the maximum package is 1000000 Approx 80% or above were getting placed. My plan after Btech is pursuing MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

For Btech the fees for the 1st and 2nd sem were 40000 and then the 3rd and 4th for 41000, 5th and 6th 42000 and 7th and 8th 43000. I have been placed in Cognizant in 4lpa CTC and during my internship they provide 12000 per month

Campus Life

Lots of fest happen there like Prarambh, Xplorica, Sportivo, Vibgyor and the Most famous one FLAMES The library is average in size and you will easily get all the desired book Intercollege and Intracollege sports happen in college in Cricket, football, Badminton, chess, Carrom Sportivo, vibgyor were mostly run by students and lots of others were too.

Admission

Eligibility is 60% above for both class 10th and 12th needed admission done through WBJEE, JEE, and JEE Mains exams. All application forms would be done through counselling. The cutoff for ECE must be below 50000 and for CSE should be below35000 TFW ranks were acceptable

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

FIEM - The Nooks and Corners !

There were few colleges I applied to based on my WBJEE ranks . There was St. thomas college, techno college , heritage , msit and many more . If you know the way of how WBJEE admissions work , you will know we need to give a list of college and they would choose according to our preference and rank . Now according to that , I got this college . Well, if telling why I didn't get applied in other colleges which were much better it was due to my WBJEE rank , which was not that upto mark . Talking about the admission process , its just following the process of WBJEE admissions and on admission day providig the necessary documents needed by the college which will be informed ( or maybe we need to know) . If we talking about cut offs it changes every year so we need to look after it from previous years' cut off list . Also , you need to have atleast a good percent in both ICSE and ISC for admission....Read More
