Course Curriculum Overview
As I wanted to become Physiotherapist therefore I choose this course as a Bachelor of Physiotherapy is a 4.5 years professional undergraduate medical course which enables a candidate to become a professional Physiotherapist. Faculty and student ratio in NIMS college of physiotherapy is quite disappointing as there are 350+ students in this course and faculties are limited. Faculties are well qualified and are very cooperative, their teaching methods are also good as they all use PPT for delivering their lectures which enables us to imagine and fixes the concepts. Exams are semester wise and you feel it moderate if you have attended all the lectures and practicals.
Internships Opportunities
In Bachelor of Physiotherapy we have to complete our 6 months internship only from NIMS hospital and that too without a stipend. They provide clinical postings from 2nd year in which we go through the hospital working environment and other work ethics and we do full-time internships after 4 years. All these clinical exposure is very beneficial in building a good skillset for a Physiotherapist.
Placement Experience
In the medical field placement is entirely based on our knowledge, skill, and network, although the university offers placement to students who perform well, they get placed in NIMS hospital after completion of their Internship at the hospital. Along with NIMS hospital other hospitals from Jaipur also give placement after completion of the course. The package ranges from 1.8 LPA to 3 LPA and the average package is around 2.2 LPA. Almost 70% of students get placement either at NIMS hospitals or other hospitals or clinics. In my opinion, it's better to get some work experience after graduation and then go for a master's because without a master's growth is limited.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no certain fixed policies for how much the fee would increase, the university may increase it by 5000 to 10000 yearly. Every student with 75% or above marks is eligible to get a scholarship for the tuition fee of 1st year. 75% or above marks a 50% tuition fee scholarship. 90% or above marks a 100% tuition fee scholarship. We can get an internship at NIMS hospital which is without a stipend.
Campus Life
Campus life at NIMS University is so great, you would find a lot of fun activities and groups around the campus. University also organizes various events throughout the year. Which comes to around a minimum of 2 events every month. There are 3 libraries inside the campus with a huge reading hall, the central library has a good collection of books and also a computer section to allow students to have access to online study resources. Every classroom is equipped with either a smartboard or projector for faculties to deliver their lectures. The infrastructure of the university is really good you can find almost every daily used stuff inside campus. There are various sports facilities like basketball, badminton, tennis, cricket, and football, along with a gym and medium size swimming pool. There are various social groups that students have created here which includes, cultural activities group, sports group, religious groups, etc.
