Remarks

The college is a really good place to be in. It has well equipped classrooms and top notch infrastructure. Overall, it is a place for the students who want to enjoy their college life and develop sports and other co-curricular activities along with their studies.

Entrance Preview

I took the JEE Main exam and unfortunately could not qualify for JEE Advanced. I had short-listed a few colleges from the Mumbai University and I was appointed RAIT, Nerul (Navi Mumbai)

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Electronics and Telecommunication is a pretty good field in Engineering. Our college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, RAIT was established in 2001 and has 12 laboratories, 2 seminar halls and a dedicated department Library along with classrooms equipped with the latest technology.

Internships Opportunities

Our college has a committee for placements and internships. We can register with the committee and they will provide the meritorious students with the best available internship. The college also recommends a few students every year for internships.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a committee, Training and Placement Cell, where interested students can register themselves for placements and job opportunities. The members of the committee are students from all branches and the functioning of the committee is managed by a group of faculty members who are very cooperative and help all the students get their desired jobs.

College Events

4.5

The college is a paradise for those looking to participate in events and college festivals, both cultural as well as technical. The college has a technical fest each semester and a cultural festival, Horizon, which is one of the biggest cultural festivals in Navi Mumbai. Ganesh Chaturthi is also celebrated on a massive scale.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is reasonable. A student's fees depend on his category of admission. For a student of the General Category, the standard fees apply which is around 1.10-15 lacs. Whereas, for a student of the reserved category, the fees can be anywhere from 20k to as low as 2k, depending on their category.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college avails a lot of scholarships for meritorious and deserving students. All the students that fall under the reserved category have to apply for scholarships in order to avail the reduced fees for their respective categories. Other than that, the toppers of every semester get ₹50,000 for their performance.

Campus Life

4.5

The students studying in RAIT can get to enjoy their campus life. They can be part of the various committees that the college has to offer. One of these committees is the Student Union Council (SUC). This is the committee that organizes all the college festivals and the other events.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The college does not have it's own hostel facility. There is, however, a dedicated girl's hostel in the DY Patil Campus where the college is located. The mess facility in the hostel is pretty good and serves nutritious food to all the students availing the facility.

Alumni/Alumna

The college maintains regular touch with the alumini and the recently passed-out students. They host frequent events and get-togethers for the alumini. These events are handled by the various committees of the college. The students get to learn a lot from the pass-outs. Notable alumini include the very popular singer and music composer Shankar Mahadevan.

Exam Structure

The exam structure followed is in accordance to the University of Mumbai. We have two semesters every year for 4 years. There are two sets of unit tests along with a final exam which is conducted on December and May at the end of every semester. We also have practical exams and submissions for each subject

Admission

I took admission in this college by the DTE Process for the Government of Maharashtra. I had to first register online on the site 'Directorate of Technical Education' and select my respective centre, where I had to go and verify my original Documents and submit a copy of the same. Then I have to select my choices for colleges and courses. I was then allotted Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at the Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology.

Faculty

4

The college has adequately qualified faculty and staff members for every department. The HODs are highly qualified individuals who have excelled in their respective field of experience. All the teaching faculty are very cooperative and help us in our academics.
