One of the best colleges in Kolkata

Everything is good, the teachers, staff , our principal the only problem one can face is related to attendance because the department is very strict when it comes to attendance.

We had three levels of entrance exam which was based on the knowledge that we had gained in school. I scored good marks and made it the first list of selection. I had opted for this college as it is one of the top colleges of Kolkata with a very good faculty and infrastructure.

I had applied for B.Com(h) which is related to commerce so the curriculum was not based on research. But then we had good lectures.Courses syllabus are interesting and doesn't have to get so much burden during exams as there are internal tests, seminars and presentations going on every month. So, it's a practice for us where we experience and get more ideas to present in public and become more aware of preparing better presentations along with case studies. . Starting with the curriculum - the syllabus is neither too tough nor too easy.It covers all kind of papers like accounting,maths,auditing, cost,financial management,tax etc.You can gain basic knowledge of all subjects. In the final year you will have to opt for specialization-marketing,finance,banking,hr etc. Computer knowledge like tally,sql is also taught.

Our college talks with the big firms and companies for internship then there is a selection test and interview by the company and then after selection internship starts.Stipend is not very high.

The college offers good placements and job opportunities, it also offers internship opportunities. A lot of reputed companies come to my college ever year and on an average package goes up to 3.5 Lakhs per annum which is more than enough for a b.com graduate.

The college celebrates Fresher's party, Farewell Party, visits,picnic,batch parties, Festivals, Fests, Annual Events, conducts lots and lots of seminars for the students which gives the utmost exposure to them. Sports activities are there and certificates and trophies are also given that carry weight-age.

The Fee structure is quite expensive as it is the most expensive college in kolkata. Library,computer labs, Wifi, canteen, Medical room ,A.C class rooms etc are all available for the ease of a student so the fees is relatively high as compared to the other colleges.

No our college doesn't provide any sort of scholarships to its students.Also no loan facility is available.

It's a girls college and it gives u the exposure to the corporate sector.. Faculty Members are very helpful. The college enhances its students leadership qualities and communication skills.This college is the only college in Kolkata which has personality development classes and in fact studies is more of practical basis.

Our college doesn't provide accomodation/hostel facility but there are a lot of PGs available in the nearby areas so outstation students generally do not face any problems. We have a canteen and the food served by them is tasty and hygienic as well as reasonable.

We had a class representative just like a class monitor she used to keep us informed about everything happening in the college and then we had easy access to the Lecturers so everyone was well informed about the events happening in the college.

Exam Structure is not at all hectic plus exams are conducted with gaps in between. In college you would be required to give presentation in each semester and you have to prepare and give a seminar for a 100 mark in the final year. So passing the exams with good marks is not an issue.

Admission procedure was quite simple. I checked the college's website to know about the dates when the application form would be available.after that i went to the college and took the application form after submitting the form there was a written test based on general knowledge,the results were announced within half an hour and then there was a second round which was based on academics conducted on the same day and the results were announced and then there was a final interview round conducted by the Lecturers which would decide whether the candidate would get admission or not.The results were declared after 3-4 days.It was put up on a board in the college campus and then we were suppose to pay the admission fees and all.

Faculties are interactive and helpful too. The faculty members and the members of the college council are always approachable.There's ample exposures to seminars by reputed individuals from fields of academics and corporate offices. Regular assignments and projects makes sure we develop necessary skills of preparing and executing presentations as individuals and in groups. Personal development classes are held compulsorily to allow students to develop soft skills.
