Remarks

College is in a developing state, so there's not much to say about the college.

Entrance Preview

The entrance exam which I wrote is JEE. As this college is present in Odisha, to get into this college, I used OJEE counselling. No, there are no interviews. Metallurgical and Materials Engineering has very wide scope all over the world, as the college is set up in the mining hub of Odisha, I.e., Keonjhar, there are more chances of getting into the mining and steel sectors.

Course Curriculum Overview

Metallurgy is very good course which is mostly related to practicals, unless one is unaware of the practicals it is useless to study. No research initiatives had been taken. This college is a constituent college of BPUT, so, as the syllabus has changed, there is Honours and Minor subject from 2nd year onwards which changes every semester.

Internships Opportunities

No, college doesn't provide internships. As there is no M.Tech or PhD facilities, the college couldn't provide internships. But you can go to other institutions for internships.

Placement Experience

Placement is good for all. 10% of students got placed. Major Companies that visited the campus are Vedanta, IMFA, Thriving Earth Movers. Average package is Rs 400000.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very much affordable. For General students, the 1st year fees is Rs 42400 and from 2nd year onwards it Rs 27400.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, college provides scholarships like Medhabruti and Preparation. Yes, I availed Medhabruti scholarship. Yes, college helps in getting loans. You can take loan from SBI or CBI.

Hostel Facilities

No, I wasn't residing in hostel. Hostels rooms are big enough and well furnished. Rooms are on sharing of 3 students per room. No, PGs are there. Hostel costs nearly Rs36100 per year. Food is alright.

Faculty

There are good faculties in the institute with PhD and M.Tech qualifications and some faculties with industrial experiences. Faculties are very helpful and the courses are almost completed before semester exams. They take extra classes for doubt clearings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college. As my rank was not upto the mark to get admission into vssut or outer but I was fortunate enough to get admission into this college.
