Remarks
According to me,I love my college.To me my teachers are a thing to be focused on and they are very co-operative and good. Hence no issues from the college. Life here is fun also.College reputation is very good, infrastructure wise one of the best college in DU.
Entrance Preview
SGTB Khalsa College is a very prestigious college of DELHI UNIVERSITY. For most of the courses,there was "CUT OFF CRITERIA" of class 12th marks.Hence,no entrance test for my course. I cracked the Cut off and hence landed up in this college.NO, there was no any interview or something like this. I am a B.S.c. MATHS(Honours) student. From my childhood,i had loved maths and have a great interest in it.Maths give peace to mind,according to me.And also i want to become a professor in maths SO, All these factors made me to choose this course.
Course Curriculum Overview
Seriously,I am thanking god till now that i choose B.Sc MATHS(H).This is a great subject,a fun, a challenge yet, but since i love maths and so the course is very good for me. Truly Speaking,there was no much much focus on practical learning means very less attention is given by professors on practical learning. Till now,NO any Research Initiatives are taken. There were so many elective options to us.I chose COMPUTER SCIENCE as it was a little bit easy to me.
Internships Opportunities
YES the college provided Internships but only to Commerce student not to us.So,can't sayannything about it.
Placement Experience
DU Placement cell is actually very good. The placement scenerio was like a festive season truly.Everyone,I know my seniors,They were so excited for their turns and were very happy. I think 70-75% students got placed. Major companies were->PAYTM, BUDDY4STUDY, AirShagun,TATA Power ,VIVO mobile India ,Freight System,Merajob India and many more... The average package was like just 5 lakhs according to my information.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee was quite high in comparison to other DU colleges.It was 21,385 for my course. Honestly,NOT AFFORDABLE.
Campus Life
I am a first year student. On the very first day, I was extremely nervous and was in a great tension. Then, Seniors came and i was like oh my god, now there would be ragging. But the picture was totally different. They were so nice and humble, infact they tried to make us feel comfortable. Next was our Teacher's entry. They motivated us.. And after seeing all the things, I really thanked God that I chose this college. My Experience till now is amazing, fabulous and great. This college to me is like dream came true honestly and seriously.....
Hostel Facilities
No, i was not residing in a hostel and i don't know anything about it actually No,They don't have PG But i live in a private PG(not owned by college).I pay 12,000 for it.I don't like food of the PG seriously.
Exam Structure
No,actually,teachers understand us so there was minimum 2 days lab and atleast 4 days gap was there in between 2 tests. We actually were not SO tired by exams and labs.AND there is not SO chill culture also.
Faculty
The Maths faculty of the college is extremely very good.Our 2 teachers have 40+ years experience with PHd degree and other teacher was a newcomer but he had also done PHd and is a good teacher. The teachers are so nice and humble person i had ever met with.They made us feel so comfortable in new environment on the very first day.They are so interactive that i can share my problem with them anytime and they are always ready to solve it. Teaching standard is up to the mark,no any complaints about it honestly.Medium of teaching is english.
