Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was based on Mumbai University curriculum. First year was common for every student. From second year onwards, students need to opt either for finance or marketing specialization. The college has stopped providing HR as a specialisation since 2021. Out of the 7 faculty members, two of them were Ph.D. holders and the rest of them were doing their PhDs. Their teaching method was totally theoretical based and do not involve any case study-based teaching. Faculty: student ratio was 1:15 My first and second-year exams were conducted online and it was very easy to pass. Although exams and results are both delayed very much. Last year exams were conducted by the university and they were also delayed very much. Passing them was pretty easy as they were highly based on past year question papers.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was a reserved category (SC) student. Fees for SC/ST students were, 1st year: Rs 2591, 2nd year: Rs 1994, 3rd year: Rs 2841, I benefitted under the Government of India post-metric scholarship. 75-80% of the amount was refunded under this scholarship program. The college did not provide any kind of internship or campus job to help students with their day-to-day expenses.
Campus Life
The only good thing about the college is its campus. Classrooms are spacy but not very much comfortable due to less number of fans running at slow speeds. Every year the college organizes 'Chandi Utsav' as its annual fest. Dancing and singing competitions are conducted during this fest. BMS departmental fest is called 'Parlance' which is organized by 2nd-year students for 1st and last-year students. Indoor and outdoor games, Mr and Ms parlance, group events, and talent show are included in Parlance. College gymkhana includes carrom, chess, and table tennis as indoor games. Girls and boys cannot play carrom together. Although they can play chess and table tennis. The college gym has basic equipment such as dumbbells, rods, weights Students often engage in playing cricket, badminton, volleyball, running, shot put, and handball on the college ground Other groups which students can be part of are Marathi Vangmay Mandal, the Department for lifelong learning (DLLE), etc.
