I chose this course because of the craze I had for automobiles. The faculty over here are very helpful and knowledgeable. They put their 100% to create an environment where students can share their problems ( both personal and educational) with them. There is a go-kart club at our college which is led by students under the supervision of knowledgeable faculty. The faculty-to-student ratio is approx 1:60 . Our HOD is an IIT pass-out and had a deep knowledge of mechanical engineering. The term test here is easy but the supervision while the exam is quite strict. The exams are well scheduled according to the semester exams.

The college has tie-ups with companies that are local and present around the college. There's a company called Combustion Concepts. This is situated at Bhaynder nearby our college. This internship is unpaid. The students were supposed to make ppts for the company's products.

Students become eligible after the third year of their engineering to sit for the placements. Companies like Reliance, Jolly Clamps, Felder Group etc have visited the campus for the placements of mechanical engineering. All these companies had the job profile of sales and marketing. There is no core mechanical job available at our campus placements. These companies offer from 1.6 lpa to 3 lpa. The highest salary offered was 3.2 lpa. Only 30% of students are placed through campus remaining to try off-campus or further studies. I am also planning for taking an off-campus job

Tuition Fees Waiver Scheme(TFWS) is a scheme where students who have income less than 5 lakhs per year in their family, can apply for this scholarship. According to this scheme, the annual fee of 120000 was reduced to 12000 for four years. So I paid 12000 every year during my college. This scheme is only availed through CAP rounds which is an online government seat allotment process.

The annual fest is called "Utsav" and the tech fest is a subdomain in Utsav. I was the Technical Head during my third year of college. I have conducted 22+ tech events within two days of time. Not just for CS/IT but for all branches. Utsav is larger than life annual fest where various celebrities like Akash Gupta (stand-up comedian), Kaam bhari and slow cheetah (rappers), Jitendra Kapoor( actor) and many more, had visited during the fest. The fest is conducted during the second-third week of February. All these fests are organized by Student Council itself under the supervision of faculties. Utsav also had a sports domain where various sports competitions like kabbadi, football, cricket, Kho-Kho, badminton, etc are conducted. The library at my college is always lit by the sunlight, has an airy infrastructure, plenty of books to read and proper sitting arrangements which makes it worthy for studying for long hours.

After my 12th I appeared for Common Entrance Test(CET) which is a state-level entrance exam. Depending upon the score you get admission to different engineering colleges in Maharashtra. Since I had scored 73 percentile. I availed the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme ( TFWS). Under this scheme, one can avail of the government reservation based on income certificate and merit basis, not on caste. So I also prepared an income certificate from the Tehsil office near my home. Further my fees for this course were reduced from 120000 to approx 12000 per year.
