As I talked about my college, One good news is that It is now autonomous which feels pride. I don't have any bad remarks about my college, It is up to the mark.One thing that It is my responsibility to develop it more
Entrance Preview
I scored poor in HSC and JEE. so I found difficult to get admission in KIT college. but I tried till the 3rd CAP round and was admitted. A team is formed by the college known as NSS which helps the admitted students , coordinates them and their parents, explain them the procedure, documents required and all other things.
Course Curriculum Overview
Talking about my course i.e Mechanical. It has a separate building having Various classrooms and labs with Experienced faculty. Each faculty is special in his particular field. carious Workshops, Seminars , guest lectures are arranged by department for Students overall development. Also CAR continuous assessment report is made for each student and criteria is fixed and marks are given according to Attendance,UT marks , discipline. Also e learning portal (Moodle) is made for students on which they have separate Email id and password and can see various subjects notes ,their attendance and also give quiz.
Internships Opportunities
In Third year, It is compulsory for all students to have Internship. Our department provides platform for us ,they allow us to join internship of reputed companies.
Placement Experience
At the time of admission,It was told that it has 100% placement....but All students don't apply for placement bcoz some are going for ME , GRE, competitive examination etc . But very reputed companies come for placement like Amazon,KPIT, Bentley system, Mercedes etc I thank Mr Rajendra Heddur sir , Training and placement Officer for putting up his efforts and try to bring Such nice companies for placement.
College Events
Talking about Events, Various Events are arranged by each department.But at National level Event called PIONEER is arranged at college level in which students from all over India can participate .It a 2 day Program and every year it gets a huge response. Each department student association arranges event and participants can show their talent
Fee Structure And Facilities
As it comes to engineering we have to count more money...Fee structure for open is 80k and as I am a EBC student I have to pay only 40k which is not more.
Campus Life
Firstly our college is arranging TED-X in jan 2018. It feels pride that it will really beneficial for students.For Improving students skills I thank Walk with World(WWW) an association which arranges extra curricular event. Abhigyan, IImun , Personally development course are few of them. Abhigyan is a lecture series in which lecturers share their experience about their life.
Hostel Facilities
As I am from Kolhapur , I don't know much more about hostel, but I know that It has good infrastructure. Students from various cities and villages stay here . I also came to know that Warden of this hostel is Strict and doesn't allow any non-hostel Student/person to go in premises so as to avoid robbery. But food is little compromising.
Alumni/Alumna
Every year , An allumni meet is scheduled and Various allumni which are now a successful Engineer's attend this meeting.
Exam Structure
In each Sem, 2 unit tests are conducted at college level. One thing I like about the exams is UT booklet which I have not find in other colleges.This booklet is maintained in each sem.
Faculty
As I mentioned earlier , Faculty is special in his own field. Most of them are pursuing PhD and 100% have done their ME / M tech. Efforts are taken to take extra lectures and complete the syllabus in time.
