Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because I got a very good score in my 12th and from my childhood onwards I was really attracted towards electrical devices and electronics. My uncle has a shop where he works as an electrician. He motivated me to proceed with what I like and what my aim is. The student's Girls and Boys ratio is 40:60, The teachers are really good at teaching, and most of them are Phd and doctorate level qualifications. The exams were held at the end of the semester, which means every 6 months, the exams were not that hard because if we complete the syllabus which taught by the teachers it is easy to crack the exam.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is 79k per semester and 2k per semester exam fees, which means 1.62lac per year. The fees are not that high because they provide us with the best facilities, which include, a library, full AC in classes, projectors, and computer labs. There is a placement cell in our college, which motivates and gives resources to get us placed. I got an internship not paid but to gain knowledge we travelled to Kharagpur electrical plant to gain practical knowledge about transformers and loads of electricity. It was organised by NPTEL.
Campus Life
The life on campus was really amazing, we got many friendly seniors with whom we roamed around the campus and know the areas and departments where we can get the best vibes. There are many fests held in TIU, they are VIVARTA which is Tech and gaming fest, SHOTSAVA which are Art and traditions and A club called RUDRA organised outdoor games like cricket, football and many more.
Admission
I get admission by giving an exam held by University, there was a paper of 90 questions. 30 from chemistry subject, 30 from physics and 30 from Maths. The passing score was 30, I scored 66. So I got selected by the exam score and proceed to the admission cell, where they gave me a form to fill in the computer and after that, they gave me the details of the fee structure. It was 79k per semester which is 1.58lac per year. My friend get admission from management quota there are 20% extra seats were reserved for this category. The admission process is very smooth and everyone there is very helpful.
