Course Curriculum Overview
The first year offered us the foundation which was Sem 1. From Sem 2 we were required to choose verticals which would be our majors in 2nd Year. The faculty is friendly and very creative and talented. They have designed their own unique curriculum which they keep improvising based on the latest trends and student needs. The evaluation here is a continuous evaluation process, assignment submissions depend on the course and its duration. The final evaluation is the jury which consists of 20% of the grand total mark
Placement Experience
3rd-year students can start with internships. Students are eligible for placements in the 7th and 8th Sem. Avg placement of a Design student here is 4-6 Lakhs. The highest packages offered last year were 54 Lakhs and 36 Lakh respectively. These students are currently working for Microsoft and Samsung and had studied User Experience Design.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees hike is 5% every consecutive year, the fee here is relatively less or average for almost all the design colleges. I got a scholarship of 1,00,000 this year based on academics and financial requirements. This scholarship amount can we withdrawn or also carry it forward to the next year? I can't say much about campus jobs as I'm still in the 2nd year
Campus Life
This college could be described straight out of our movies, college fests and events are creative and a blast. Normalcy is rare here, it is jam-packed with fun events organised by our very own students. The library books availability is nice, they also keep adding many books, and we get notified every time we get new books added. sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged, and being in a team also boasts 3% of your overall Marks percentage. there are many exciting clubs founded by students, almost everyone is welcome in any club activity, the organisation requires a core team you need you give interviews to be a part of.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are furnished with almost each of your needs, cleaning is done everyday. Electrical gadgets are not allowed tho except straightners and blowdriers. Hostel abides by struct rules and an In-Time. Food is good registration process is easy and can be done together with the tution fee. Affordabiility is questionable but given the kind of rooms and facilities, its pretty good
Admission
The admission process consisted of filling out the exam for MITID. There was phase 1 and phase 2 of the examination. Phase 1 was a written exam in which overall student skills were accessed. Phase 2 was a Studio test and interview if you succeed in passing Round 1 of the written exams. The process was relatively easy
