A 2ndTier College with Opputunities!!

If you are getting CSE, ECE or mechanical, do join without hesitation. For other branches, it depends on what you want to do after engineering. If you aim for GATE, or change of stream then its good to join. please don't join if you are getting metallurgy unless you have clear goals. Better go for better branches in any other institute.

I took AIEEE in 2012 and got good Rank around 4K. Its Ranking is in top 5 among all NITs. Peaceful atmosphere, friendly people, great infrastructure, great National Institute of Technology to study B.Tech! Overall, if you get this college, then enroll in it as it is a govt. funded institution and a good institution. You will not regret your decision. Computer Science is one of the growing course and returns is awesome. Computer engineering branch at MNIT is one of the finest when compared with all the NITs. The branch sees close to 100% placement for B.Tech. I am expecting a steeper increase in coming years.

The latest technology is used in teaching. Also, not only theoretical knowledge is being taught, practical experiences are also being given at the same time! What I feel about the course curriculum is that it needs to be revised a little bit, but then it's good, as in the end we are being taught everything! Faculty to student ratio is 1:20. The course curriculum is useful and we get regular industrial visits and exposure to practical world. Frequent industrial visits are organised by certain branches thereby providing them with the necessary exposure. The course curriculum is extensive and teachers also encourage the students to go beyond the course material and read research papers. The faculty members also encourage the student to do projects(mini) from very early stage thereby developing the scientific temperament in the young scientific minds.

Yes it also provides internship. but for 2 months in summer break. Companies come for placement and they also pick students for internships which can be converted depending on student.

Placements in the college are fairly average with the highest package being of around 29 LPA(in CSE). The packages are comparatively less in the core branches. The average package here is around 6 LPA. Some of the well-known companies are Amazon, Texas Instruments, Deloitte, Infosys and IBM. Internships opportunities are provided by the placement and training cell of the college and the students can go for these if they wish to apply for internships on their own. Almost all of the students get placed. Placements are good enough for students to start their career. But students of our college are not only limited to this, as they are pursuing a higher degree course, getting government jobs in PSUs, going for higher studies in MBA, IAS etc. More than 78 (paid) internships are offered to students and a maximum of 1 lakh/month stipend was offered to 5 students.

Our college event is celebrated every year after the month of January. Every type of event is organized in this event. Technical and cultural events are in this event by which we can improve our extracurricular activities. Gaming events are also in this event. Every year, MSF(Malaviya Sports Festival) is also organized in the college so that the students who are interested in sports can improve their sports activities. If you want to start your startup, then you can present your idea to the incoming company and they will give you funds for your startup. There is also a CACS (Creative Arts and Cultural Society) in which students get knowledge other than classes to improve their extra curriculum. There is also a robotics team ZINE which teaches the students about robotics.

As this is Government of India funded college. Fees is relative cheap. For SC/ST and OBC Tuition fee is waivered. For Gen category its not waivered. Also, OBC students get some scholarships based on annual income of family. Around 30k per semester. May be changed a little after some time. Also this is for Gen category.

Central Sector scholarship for College and University Students (MHRD, Govt. of India).

Gender Ratio is 7:1, Lots of diversity across India and neighboring countries. Learning experience enhances tremendously due to the fact of mix culture. It's same for all students because ragging is prohibited and well implemented. Rest only difference is that you have to live in 3 in 1 room. Other than this all facilities all same for all students (UG students) n terms of hostel facilities, its the same as any other Engineering College. 24x7 Electricity and water supply, Cold Drinking Water . Note: NOT purified RO or UV treated water, even if its there most probably it was last serviced few years back, Average or below average Mess Food, a reading room(not properly maintained) and if lucky a working common room with a Television. Thats pretty much all you can expect in the Hostel.

Hostel life for 1st year is fun. You have to live with 2 other people in one room. This is compulsory for all freshers. If you get hostel 7 that's quite good. Hostel 6 mess is best among all. There is bonding between roommates which can never be accomplished living in single room. There are adequate rooms available but don't afraid there are lots of options than college hostel that is more economical than that,and lot of facilities are also there. You can choose that also. Like One FOLK hostel is there nearby mnit Dean Gate. Many mnit people live there you can search 'Folk Mnit' on google map and u can visit that also before admitting in mnit Hostel.

After getting Rank in IIT_JEE Mains. You have to fill the choices. General trend is course and branch priority. This College is in Rajasthan so if you are near Rajasthan or from Rajasthan then go for it. You might have to fight for it. Once you get the college. There are several rounds of iterations in which you can switch your branch as well.

The faculty is very cooperative with students. Faculty members of CSE department are good with experience, very good in their subjects. They motivate the students to do well in the subject. They used e-classrooms to explore things. Laboratory of CSE department is very good with the latest version of equipment. Faculty members are available in department for any doubts. Faculty members are very helpful to us.
