Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this because I've designed my career around the field of finance only and we all know Goenka is one of the best colleges for commerce in Kolkata. The teachers are really qualified and so good. If you attend their classes regularly and sincerely then you don't need any tuition. There are total of 6 semesters each after 6 months. In the year 2023-24, there will be 8 semesters as the duration of the course has been increased to 4 years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is very low as compared to any other college in Kolkata for bcom honours as it is a complete government institution. An individual can apply for various scholarships the college helps the individual in getting the scholarship.
Campus Life
You can get the books from the library. The college also provides books to economically poor students so that they don't lack in their studies. The class rooms are big enough. The infrastructure is really designed very well.
Admission
For Bcom honours an individual should have got 75% in aggregate and 60% in any of the subjects mentioned on the website ( general) for OBC there is a relaxation of 20% and for SC and ST there is a relaxation of 25%. The application forms are available on the website only and it's free to apply. The cut-off is around 90% to 95 %. The faculty is really good that if an individual wants to do bcom honours without any tuition then the individual can do it without any trouble just by attending regular classes in the college sincerely.
