Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I had always been interested in human behavior and severe mental disorders, and had a keen passion to help and treat people suffering from trauma. The faculty-student ratio can be approximately 1:10. Faculties are highly qualified and have excelled in their particular fields. The teaching method, however, can be a bit improved. The exams were timely, and if the material is studied, thoroughly, passing is not that difficult.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships are to be found on their own. However, the college provides a campus placement drive, where good companies come and offer placements. Roles catering to my program were: admission counselor, special needs therapist, etc.

Placement Experience

0.5

last semester ensures their eligibility for placement. name of companies: AEG, mom's belief, etc. highest was 35k. In this particular course, the percentage was very low, approx., 5%. M.Phil. is the further plan.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for this particular course is 78,000. Scholarship can be attained after reaching 90-95%. Financial assistance is provided, however, details can be disclosed by the authorities responsible for the same. The college provides campus placements, and for this particular course, the stipend offered was 20-25k, annually.

Campus Life

2.5

Amity's annual fest is called Amity Youth Fest, wherein, famous artists are invited and they showcase their talent. There were stalls set up with food, and activities for students and faculties. The availability of books and journals is great, as the library facility is one of the best in this university.

Admission

Eligibility - 50% in Bachelor in the same field ( Psychology). Application forms, fees, and dates can be found on Amity's official website, once the entrance period starts. Details of reservation benefits can be ensured in the administration office in Amity Campus. Improvement related to management is required.

Placement Experience:

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The only specific aspect of choosing this curriculum is I wanna go in a teaching position . I'm doing masters in sociology and it's really help me to prepare well for my future job. In my college the teaching methods is quie good for me and in my perspective the frequency and difficulty levels of exam is not excessive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.

Remarks:

Overall, I can say that my experience of the college for postgraduate degree is good as of now. Although the course is good, but, I would want more focus to be put on practical learning because after all, it is a practical subject. Other than that, I am content with the facilities provided by the college. I was very interested in the subject and love it personally, so it is a great experience for me.
