I wrote IP CET 2015 that allows a student to take admission in the various college of IP university. The entrance exam was followed by multiple rounds of online counseling by IP university. There was no interview for admission as purely merit-based admission is done. I always wanted this course and so I'm doing it.

The overall course curriculum is pretty nice. The course structure includes everything that one needs to know for becoming an engineer. Practical learning is very much encouraged and lab manuals are very well versed that enhances the knowledge of students. Department encourages research as projects.

No, the college doesn't provide any internship nor does it facilitate any way or information for the same. Students have to look for the internship on their own because there is no support from the college apart from the documentation. It is compulsory for every student to at least do 1 internship during their time in the college.

The placement scenario is okayish but the students who have worked hard and are knowledgeable, they do get nicely placed. As of now, in October, almost 90% students have been placed in the campus recruitments by various companies. All in all, the average package varies around 3.5-4 lakh per annum.

The college hosts technical fest annually and cultural fest once in two years. Apart from that, there are various societies, like debating society, dramatics society which keeps on organizing events throughout the year. Official fests are quite grand. Overall, the organization of events is good but with minimal college contribution.

My college is affiliated to IP university and so, my course fee is not as high as private colleges. It's 90,062/ year which can be afforded by a middle-class family. For people coming from no so sound economic background, this fee might be higher. Well, for an engineering course, I think this much fee is sufficient as it is a professional course.

The college does have scholarship schemes for underprivileged students. No loan assistance is provided by the college.

The college has an excellent environment for extracurriculars as there are various hubs which are active throughout the year. College administration's support and facilities for the activities is also brilliant. One can have overall personality growth in the college.

No, I don't live in a hostel. There is triple sharing in the room and the college campus has only girls hostel. I do not know about the hostel fee and the food is average.

My interaction with alumni was quite good. We are still in touch. We have alumni cell and foreign education cell in the college which is also active throughout the year.

I have sessionals in mid-semester examinations. Teachers do conduct random internal assessments thus requiring students to be well versed with the syllabus always. I have practicals and external assessment as a part of end semester examinations.

The entire faculty has masters/ Ph.D. in their respective fields and so I can say that teaching staff is qualified. They very well know how to explain concepts to students which makes me believe that they are experienced. Faculty of CSE department is humble and interactive and proficient in their respective disciplines.
