Course Curriculum Overview

Good faculties members. They are very young, dynamic, and helpful to students. The student-teacher ratio is almost 8:1. All teachers have master's degrees. 4CA and 2PCA and 1-semester exam is conducted under MAKAUT guidelines.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are available from the 6th semester. Students get offers from various MNCs. CMERI Durgapur gives students industrial exposure. Software internship is easy to grab. Students are benefited by internships.

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester. TCS, cognizant, Amazon, and almost all MNCs visit our college for placement. The highest package offered by Walmart is 23 LPA. Avg package 4LPA. Core companies also come.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fees structure is very much affordable. Tuition fees for 4 years are below 400000 INR. Hostel fees are also very nominal. SVMCM scholarship is available and a national scholarship is also available. T and P cells are very active in students' placement.

Campus Life

The Campus is not very big but well organized. The central library contains a huge collection of books. Cricket, football, volleyball, and badminton are very popular among students. NSS club, coding club, and entrepreneurship club are also present.

Admission

The admission process is done through the WBJEE exam. The Cutoff for CSE is almost 40000. The Reservation benefits are available. Very smooth application process. Student can directly fill in their choice in the wbjee counseling portal.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

BCET Durgapur.Good campus but bad faculty and placement opportunities.

I say this earlier. First of all my JEE rank was little bit low, so I can't get any govt college. And at that time the CSE fees in almost every private college is arround 4 lakhs. But they asked high donation. Which was not affordable by my family. So I choose this college. Also I hear all private colleges are same.we have to do everything by ourselves.
