Course Curriculum Overview

4

They are several courses like computer science and engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, electrical engineering, biotech engineering, and applied sciences. I chose btech CSE due to its highest placement in comparison with other courses and its increasing demand in today's world. Each course has 5-7 subjects taught by different teachers and they also provide different staff for labs and extra co-curricular activities. We are also taught by research scholars on occasions who are well-educated and knowledgeable. Since it is a government University. So all the staff is very experienced and knowledgeable. We have projectors in classrooms for easy learning and understanding, their teaching methods are quite good. We have 2 sessional exams and 1 final exam with internal and external practicals each semester, which are quite easy to crack if you have good knowledge about your course.

Internships Opportunities

3

Many companies like TCS, Flipkart, Amazon, ZS , and stop.ai provide both online and offline internships. The roles offered by them are assistant researchers, analytics consultant, insight and planning associate consultant, etc. This time even some IITs and NITs provided internships at college for PMSSS students in civil, mechanical, and other branches.

Placement Experience

3.5

You can apply for placements after completing your 3rd year. Luckily the btech CSE branch has the highest placement of about 50% on campus and there are also several off-campus placements too. The companies visited are Wipro, TCS, HCL, ABB, Infosys, Daffodil, etc. The average package offered is 4.5 lakhs and the highest package offered is 10-12 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government University, its course fee is very affordable and has many reservation & scholarship policies. Students are admitted to this University through various schemes and policies such as PMS SC, PMSSS, htses counseling, and sports quota. You can also apply for research assistant jobs, placement cell management jobs, etc. And their salary package is also quite good.

Campus Life

5

To be mentioned, the campus and its infrastructure are very beautiful and mesmerizing except for a few hostels. This University is ranked 1st in India in terms of cleanliness and greenness. Throughout the year a lot of activities keep taking place in the university. It is often visited by renowned celebrities. The sports fest and annual fest take place in April and May. The university has a very large campus with almost 10 Vita booths, 5-6 cafes, sports grounds, swimming pool, each department has its library and one huge common Library with a spacious reading hall. There are many social groups & clubs like youth red cross, NCC, English club, orator's bout, drama club, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels are quite nice except few, one of the hostels known as Bhagirathi has been awarded as the best hostel in India in terms of its infrastructure and surroundings. the hostel for freshers isn't that good. Each hostel has its mess and staff and there is a common canteen. The meal is also good and quite affordable, Twice a week you get a special meal and is completely vegetarian. Moreover, you can also decide your menu by taking to the mess community. There's a mess charge of about 2000 every month with 12000 as a hostel accommodation fee each year. In case you don't have a hostel there is tremendous no. Of PGs near the campus.

Admission

Well being a student from Jammu and Kashmir, we enjoy some special scholarship schemes like PMSSS. To get good Universities through this scheme you need a score of more than 85% in your 12th boards (state/CBSE/ICSE). You will find the application online onthe PMSSS aicte site. Registration is free and you must have a family income of less than 2 lakhs per annum. Moreover,r they provide you 50,000 per semester as a maintenance amount and you don't even need to pay for your college fee. But the process is quite long, it might take 2-3 months.

Other Applied Colleges

Because I personally feel in btech, you gain more technical knowledge and is more valuable than B.Sc

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in the computer science and engineering branch. I want to be a software developer and I am passionate about coding and I love to code that's why I am chosen this branch. The faculty members of my college are awesome and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They cooperate with students in every situation . they focus much on the weak student so they can also pass the exam. they use the blackboard and smart classes both to teach the student effectively. we have industrial exposure also. the well built spacious will have no importance if not for the wonderful faculty the college has. All are faculty members are highly knowledgeable and done their post graduation from one of the top colleges like IITS. and most of the teachers are GATE qualified and even it is not once. they are writing the exam regularly. so, if you prepare for the GATE exam, then you can get great help from them. they used to prepare us for the GATE exam, along with academics

Remarks:

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.
