What Students Say

Likes

The curriculum were good. Regular ESD or Entrepreneurship programmed is conducted mandatorily every semester.
Social life is good. No Extra focus is given only on academics rather in all aspects of life.

Dislikes

Scheduling for classes and Time table are quite haphazard.
Too much Groups are present within the college who hamper the flow of sessions.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course and curriculum available are enough to choose a great career. However, the faculties lack experience and the teaching environment is not that good. A little improvement is also required for the kinds of courses and internships that the college can avail for students.

The placements offered are enough, to say the least. Huge firms or companies may not be present enough but at least Basic MNC companies do take a thorough placement process from the college. There are some students who opt for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is fine. Not that costly for basic courses. Also, Tuition fee waivers and other opportunities are accepted obediently. However, the kind of assistance that is required for the students to apply for campus jobs is not up to the mark. Scholarships are scarce.

Campus Life

Life on campus is good. Unlike many colleges nearby, we actually enjoyed going to college as there was not a strict notion regarding attendance, and also the academics were quite simple. That is why the social life at the college was abundant for someone to attend it.

Admission

The admission process was very smooth. I did not take any entrance exam , however there were exams conducted for direct admission. Regarding admission process I don't think there is any more improvement required.

Interview Experience

There was a group discussion program available. However, those are only needed to be attended depending on the score a candidate has achieved in the State level competitive exam. Else the basic courses don't require a group discussion ceremony.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
