Remarks
Overall experience is amazing. Technically this college is very strong but very weak in all kinds of extra curricular activities.
Entrance Preview
This college is a part of GGSIPU, I took the IPU CET for my admission. There is only one exam for the whole university, no separate exams college wise. Also, there's only one exam, no interview process is followed afterwards. This college gives admission to students having rank below than 15000 (approx. including 3 rounds of counselling + spot rounds). I am pursuing B.Tech in Information Technology and it's pretty good here.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Information Technology, which requires a lot practical learning which seems to be less than required. Theoretical knowledge is good. Students are supposed to submit training reports, minor project, major project and a research paper in their final prefinal years of B.Tech., mentors are provided and they are really supportive and helpful.
Internships Opportunities
No, not at all. But it is mandatory to go for a summer internship in your prefinal and final year.
Placement Experience
MAIT has the best placement record in IPU. However, the average package is less i.e 3 - 3.5 LPA but the ratio of placed students is quite good. 70% of IT/CSE students get placed and 40% of other branches. Major companies that visit for placement drives include Infosys, Accenture, ZS, Mahindra, SmartPrix, Newgen, Nagarro etc.
College Events
The campus is not much active in extra curricular activities. Most of the societies are not active too. It does have a sports day, technical and cultural fest (together), football and volleyball tournaments and an annual function.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is quite affordable, no extra money in any form is taken excpet the college fees which is almost 1.2 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship from the college or the university.
Campus Life
Extra cirrucular activities are not given any attention here. Very less socities and that too inactive.
Hostel Facilities
MAIT doesnot have a proper hostel for girls but it has an official PG having just a 5 min distance from the college. The PG is not expensive at all, rooms are super clean, food is good too. They have all kinds of rooms single, double sharing, triple sharing. It fills up really fast so book a room asap of you are planning to get a hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
We had a very good interaction but the college isn't responsible for that. You are on your own for this. The college doesn't even organizes an official fresher's , but there are several unofficial ones to attend.
Exam Structure
Yes, the complete timetable for the day is very tiring. First to third year it's from 8 am to 4 pm with just half an hour break and continuous 1 hour classes and 3 hour labs. However, the schedule loosens im final years because of less subjects.
Faculty
Some of the teachers are very experienced some aren't. It is a 60/40 ratio. All of the teachers are very interactive, supportive and helpful. Quality of teaching is very good here and it does not depend on the fact whether a teacher is experienced or not. Several teachers provide personal notes too.
