Extremely great placements, many opportunties and a beautiful campus.

I was interested in the functioning of computers and subjects like artificial intelligence, development, etc. Hence I opted for BTech. in Computer Science & Engineering at VIT Bhopal. The course curriculum here is updated and future ready. All faculty are Ph.D. holders with a lot of experience. Most of them are friendly enough and help us with our problems and doubts. There are around 70 students in a class hence the faculty: student ratio is decent. VIT Bhopal has implemented the Caltech learning method which helps students learn more efficiently. There are 2 major examinations per semester namely MidTerm Examinations and EndTerm Examinations. These exams aren't very difficult to pass. There is a relative grading system so your grades depend on the class average.

Internships depend on the students. If the student is hardworking enough and has the required skills, they can crack internships easily at this college. The stipend varies depending on the skills.

Placements are the key highlight of this college. A lot of big companies like Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, etc visit the campus. In 2023, 1200+ offers were given to the students with the highest package being 59LPA. More than 90% of students get placed with great packages. The average package usually stands about 8-9LPA. Hence you don't need to worry about placements.

There are 5 categories of tuition fees namely Category 1, Category 2, and Category 5. These categories have cutoffs based on your VITEEE rank. Tuition fees for Category 1 are around Rs 2,00,000. Tuition fees for Category 2 are Rs 3,00,000. Tuition fees for Category 3 are Rs 4,00,000. Tuition fees for Category 4 are Rs 4,50,000. Tuition fees for Category 5 are Rs 5,00,000. The fee hike isn't major to be concerned about. My total cost of study at VIT Bhopal including hostel and mess facilities is around Rs 15,00,000 for four years (Category 1). There are no scholarships as such and no financial assistance facilities. Campus jobs aren't usually offered but the placements are fairly nice at the college.

College life at VIT Bhopal isn't as good as you may see in most other colleges. This is due to a lot of restrictions and regulations. But there are surely a lot of good things which make college life here liveable like regular fests, activities, etc. 'AdVITya' is the annual fest that happens every year around February. Apart from this, various minor fests are organized regularly. Most clubs are pretty active and keep organizing meetings, workshops, etc almost every week. The library isn't very big but you'll find all the necessary books and a nice studying environment there. Classrooms are beautiful with modern infrastructure and furniture. Talking about sports, you can play Basketball, Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Table Tennis & Badminton here. Many sports tournaments are held regularly and winners are awarded. The campus offers you not only academic opportunities but also a lot of extra-curricular options to explore. Students often build projects like VITB Mess App that help fellows.

The students are required to write the VITEEE exam. Details like the application form, application fees, and application dates of the same can be found on the official website of the VITEEE exam. Students can appear only once for VITEEE. All questions are multiple-choice questions. The duration of the VITEEE exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. In order to meet the eligibility criteria to write this exam, the student must have scored at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology in class 12. There are no reservation benefits and seats are allocated purely based on your VITEEE rank. Once the result is declared, students may wish to sit in the counseling process and obtain their respective VIT Campus and Programme based on their ranks. While the whole process is really smooth and easy to follow, there are usual complaints about the grading system of the VITEEE exam. Students sometimes find themselves getting unexpected results. This should be improved in my opinion.
