Course Curriculum Overview

I joined this as the world is now of semiconductors and I have to pursue engineering in that domain. Student fac ratio is high 3-4 professors per 150 students batch. Faculties are highly qualified with Ph.D. in their domains from IITs and NITs. It has time-to-time exams with mid-semester and class tests on a regular basis.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 92000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Oracle, Microsoft Amazon Qualcomm etc gives opportunities to us for internships. Many projects are being pursued under phds and MTech students. Nowadays they also guide B.Tech students to have industrial knowledge from starting.

Placement Experience

6 semester students are eligible for placement. Many companies visit like Oracle, Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc. They make huge offers like on campus of 51+lpa and off-campus of about 2-2.4 crore. 100% of students get placements. After getting degree, I have many options to opened I will look after it.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost to study is nominal about 8 lac in B.Tech. And it also provides loans by prosperous banks to reduce the burden on families for education. Scholarships like Fee, Tata, and women's special scholarships. And many more scholarships are also available.

Campus Life

The college possesses 6 fests in the entire year it has namely- Nitrutsav, cosmopolitan, Innovision, vriddhi, etc. Many books are there in the library including the thesis. Recently the college had conducted inter nit sports in which many students had came to participate that.

Hostel Facilities

Water cooler, automatic washing machine, geyser. Anyone could afford it as prices are minimal. And registration is also very easy. My college is very far from the main city and there's no such affordability remains in pg near the college.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

Eligibility is based on JEE ranks. My college is a very renowned college and ranks as 16 by Nirf it has a lavish green campus and good opportunities for students to pursue research and higher studies. It also provides benefits like student exchange programs to exchange cultures of students

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
