I chose this course because the first college was near my home then it is a prestigious college. The student-faculty ratio is 10:1. Enough faculty are there for students. Each subject has its own group of faculties. almost every faculty is well qualified and have good teaching skills but some are really good with degrees but do not have teaching skill. they teach their own self. There are two exams in one semester. One is mid-semester which took place after 2 months of academics the second is the end sem which takes place one month after mid sem. Termly exams are easy to pass some questions used to get repeated from past years. Studying 7-10 days before the exam could get you passing

Internships are available from 2nd year of BTech. Almost every big company visit nit with reasonable stipend highest was 1 lakh. Companies like Microsoft Bajaj visit campus for internships. Students can avail of 6-month internships in either an industry or a research laboratory strictly through Institute Training and Placement cell.

From the 7th sem students start getting job offers. Almost 350 companies visited this year and nearly 1400 job offers were given. The highest of 1.8 CR offered to students ( off campus) campus highest was 46lpa and the average was 10.8 lpa almost 88 per cent of students get placed. I'm going for a corporate job after my degree.

In nit Rourkela tuition fees are 62500 and the one-time admission fee is 10000 then the hostel fee is 5000 and the mess fee is 17500 ( all this in one semester). And many scholarships are available not from the college but from the state and central governments. One could quickly get a job here if he is concerned about academics

Life on campus is best. You will get to know people from different parts of the country and some from abroad. My social life is perfect. There are 60 clubs and societies in nit Rourkela. You will club for everything of your interest. And infrastructure is promising but a lot more is building. Many fests are there fest in almost every month. The biggest is our tech fest called Innovision then our cultural fest nitrutsav then hall fest garden fest many more..and sorts fest Vridhi. The library which is called viju Patnaik library has enough books to study. The college has facilities for every sport. Innovision 2023 website was designed by gdsc community of our college and got 2.3 million visits.

Hostel rooms although not too big but has other facilities good like one washing machine and water cooler on every floor of every block and 1 washroom over 4 rooms. Meal quality is ok not so good they have varieties but lack taste in it. hostel registration is simple to go tell ur name and roll number they will allow you a room you can choose your roommate and can change after too. Renting a room here is tough as there is no pg near the college as the college is far from the city.

One who has given jee mains and qualified are eligible for this college. you will get your application form from the josaa website then after counselling you will get your seat allotment letter. Go to the college website then and complete document verification there. After document verification, they will call you for a physical warranty and admission will be completed. Regarding reservation, yes, reservation benefits are available for OBC, sc, st and PWD students. the admission process was very smooth I don't think any improvement was needed just one physical verification was taking time. I was sitting with my parents to call our names.
