Entrance Preview

We have to go through an entrance exam to get admission in this College and yeah, there is interview for many courses but not for some. I have an ambition that i want to achieve that's why i choose this College because it will lead me to my goal. And I am almost done.. Credit goes to my College... We are Xaverians.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is really good. We are learning a lot of things here bot theoretically and practically. We are given here project works and social works. There is too much focus on practical learning. The course i have chosen has wider scope and also there is elective options.

Internships Opportunities

Yeah it provides internship. Its an amazing experience. Stipend amount is 40000 yearly.

Placement cells are there which provide highest paying jobs .. Multinational companies come here for campus selection..Every year at least 2000 students get job through this campus selection. Average package is 400000 yearly.

So many events are organised here..Every month there is at least 1 event.

College fees is not too high . it's affordable...We all agree with it.. Yearly college fees is not more than 25000. In other courses, fees is little high but its affordable.

There is single room and also sharing type room .. there is no pg and cost is not too high .. it's affordable..food is provided by the mess ...mess facility is provided here ...Food is served three times.

There is an alumni cell that regularly visit the college, give donation and all are well settled.

Exam Structure

Exam room is always like pin drop silence. It gives us healthy mind to think and write the answers of questions. It's not tiring but its exciting actually.

The course curriculum of guru nanak College dhanbad is quite good and revelant as per the university pattern .it covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps in understanding the subject deeply .the syallabus is updated time to time according to latest trends, which makes it useful for higher studies and competitive exam also. The subject are arranged in a proper way semester wise so students don't feel much pressure .exam are held regularly,mostly at the end of each semester and internal tests are also taken for practice.the difficult level of exams is moderate,not very hard if you study regularly

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

A Modest College Life , Learning & Limitations

Placement Experience:

This College provides campus placement, but only a few companies come, only 2 or 3. From the 5th or 6th semester, students are eligible for the campus placement. The average package of my college is 3.57 LPA & the highest is 7 LPA. My plan is to appear for banking after completion of my degree.

I choose St. Xavier's College college over any other college because of it's name (brand) plus it does regular classes and completes it's syllabus on time compared to other colleges who doesn't provide regular classes and never completes their syllabus never on time is a different matter but the whole syllabus never gets covered and most of it is left out. I am comparing it to the Ranchi College, ranchi which is under Ranchi University name as it never does regular classes and never completes it syllabus, it has no proper faculties for each subject, don't do any other extra curriculum activities hardly ever does any practical classes plus there is no internship opportunities....Read More

The best collage in ranchi

I had applied for the Doctor Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Ranchi. And i got selected there also but i found st xavier's college ranchi is better then that college as this is autonomous applied new education policy of fourth year graduation. I didn't get rejection as i had filled only this two college in ranchi for bachelor's degree.
