UEM Kolkata, A better option for engineering & management.

I choose CSE in this college as I am more interested in Coding and the internet. I see more and more students are getting into the IT field and also if they had done their UG with any other courses. Faculties are more interested in teaching and learning students. The approx ratio of faculty:students is 1:12. Faculties are good at teaching as they are highly qualified. They generally prefer teaching practically than theoretically. College does care for the student's welfare as they are the first college to be started all over India. Exams are conducted as same as in every college and university and nothing is difficult to pass if you study.

Interships are offered here, the students must do the interships in any company. As they get projects and learn new skills which help them in getting good campus placement. The institute has collaborations with various companies and industries, which provide internship opportunities to students. Some of the popular companies that offer internships to the students of IEM Kolkata include TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, Microsoft, Deloitte, and Amazon, among others.

Placements in this university are better. Students become eligible for campus placements after the 6th semester. There are many companies which visit here like uniseven, BMWIL, capital numbers, turbot, byju's, tcs, wipro, etc. The highest package offered was 72 lakhs and the average is 5 lakhs. 93% of students get placed on campus. My plan after getting my degree is to get placed in a good company and then after some time will go for a higher degree which is Mtech.

The fee structure of Btech in computer science is a total of 705000 which is per sem 85,000. There is a 100% scholarship for the student who scored 95% and above in cbse /Icse /state board, 50% scholarship for students who scored 90% or above in cbse/icse/ state board, and 25% scholarship for the student who scored 85% or above in cbse /icse/ state board. 93% of students get placed in the company through campus placement. The highest placement was 72 lakhs and the average is 5 lakhs.

Campus life is good at UEM. It has all the facilities which a university is required to have. The library is quite good with all the books available there. Classrooms are good with digital boards. Fests are conducted every year, ECSTASIA is a cultural fest conducted every year in the month of April. Technical fests are also conducted. Basketball and football are the main sports of this college. There are many clubs that students can join, they are run by senior students they have their own website.

Students must secure more than 72 percent in the 12th board. Students must appear in the IEMJEE examination which is conducted by the university. The students can also enter through jee mains. The Application form is available on their own website. Students can also get direct admission through management quota.
