- The campus is beautiful the lakes, trees, grass, buildings it gives it a vintage look, you can always roam around in nature
- Tons of events are organized every year here, tech or non - tech you will be thrilled to be a part of
- The academic is pretty good if you can focus on your studies you will get result.
Dislikes
- I didn't like some professors over here, there teaching style is not good.
- The management is a bit slow about certain things like gym and other amenities
Course Curriculum Overview
The 1st year syllabus was just basics of different fields to develop your engineering instinct and afterwards, in my case, it will be the same as taught across all nits EE branches. Though the structure of the course was a bit unorganised may be because our semester was shorter than usual due to covid, it will be good from now onwards
Placement Experience
We got a very nice reputation in terms of placement, the civil department, ee, etc it and CS are some of the top departments in terms of placement. You can opt for this college if you want to get placed with a decent package.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are around 100k for general candidates you can get a scholarship based on your monthly income or if you are SC/ST your tuition fees will be nil, there are several other scholarships based on your merit and reservation you can opt for
Campus Life
There are a variety of societies here around 14 I guess you can join it here, we will help you out with that, about the gym I am not sure it's not operational for the past 2-3 years because the management is really slow about these things. We have our very own and the oldest cultural fest of IIEST Shibpur that is Rebecca it is one of the biggest pros of this college, it's really breathtaking to participate in such a fest.
Hostel Facilities
My Hostel was quite good , we are 4 people in each room . At first we felt congusted but with time we blended in , mess staff is very friendly , food is nice if you are non-veg but you will get bored with the same taste that's inevitable and yeah here the weather is very humid you will feel on fjre almost all over the year.
Admission
I got into the college through JEE mains rank, the admission process was quite easy. it was through jossa and the offline process was smooth too. It took me a day to complete all the formalities and I was good to go. Hope to see you here soon!
