Likes

The campus quite lucious and green. You get to experience fresh environment without any pollution.
The seniors are very cooperative. Almost no ragging.
There are lots of opportunities to explore.

Dislikes

Food is quite average. Students will miss their hometown.
Winter and summer season are very harsh.
Academics is very hard comparative to other nits

Course Curriculum Overview

The EE is the toughest branch in engineering because of the strict and robust curriculum. Also the professors are very strict which makes scoring very difficult.(7/10 because of professors otherwise it would have been 9/10) Placement wise EE has maximum no. of on -campus placements and lots of opportunities to explore.

Internships Opportunities

Intership opportunities come from 3rd year. Company from various fields offer wide range of paid internships. Students can also go for off campus internships to get internships in desired companies if they want.

Placement Experience

Almost 100% placement Average package is about 10lpa. 60% are placed in core. 40% are placed in it/analytics. The placement atmosphere is pretty competitive but rewarding. You can also prepare for any exam you want or opt for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a bit more for UR category. There are very less scholarship opportunities for UR candidates. However for others, there are lots of scholarships available especially for female candidates. I hope it helps.

There are 4 major fests organised each year.VRIDHHI INNOVISION COSMOPOLITAN NITRUTSAV The campus of NITR is huge and close to nature. All the sports facilities are available here. You can participate in anything you want. Speaking of clubs, there are different types of clubs here. You can only know about them after being present inside the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities here are average. Not that great and not that bad. 1st year students are appointed the VS hall with double occupancy in each room. The bathrooms are pretty clean. The food is average. It has a gym,tv room, study room and a music room. Also a huge lawn covering the hostel for walks and play.

Hostel Fee: INR 22000 per year

Admission

I qualified the JEE MAINS examination to get admission in NIT Rourkela.The process of admission starts from JOSAA counseling and the last part in done inside the college campus in the administrative department.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
