The oldest NIT : IIEST SHIBPUR

To be honest the only i took electronics and telecommunication as my btech subject was that i was kind of electrical concepts of our JEE syllabus and i also had interests in coding and from my senior i got to know that electronics syllabus has both. So to be on a safer side i took electronics and telecommunication. Now for my college the electronics department is good , this can be inferred from this years placement stats. The avg ctc offered was 17.5lpa from our department. The batch strength in our electronics department is 66 in our college and there are 24 faculty members in department all the faculties have great educational qualifications. I don't know in detail about there qualifications but if you want you refer to our college website for further details about the professors. Now talking about the semester exam...if one wants good cgpa he/she should study seriously from the very beginning but yeah in college everyone start studying just 1 month before the exams

The fees of our college is quite affordable. The per semester fees for general candidates is nearly 54k and the hostel fees is around 25k per semester. Now for Sc/St candidates the semester fees is not required they only need to pay the hostel fees if they are willing to take hostels. For students having income less than 5lac, their semester fees is around 26k and the hostel fees are same for all. The placement stats is very good like this year our college had 98% placement . Almost all the big mncs come to our campus for recruitment. There are many scholarships for the students for more details you need to refer to our college website.

The campus life in our college is very good. The annual cultural fest of our college is called Rebecca and the annual technical fest of our college is called Instro. Rebecca is celebrated every year in a very grand way. It is celebrated for four days like the four days of Durga puja. Many renowned bands and celebrity come to our college during the Rebecca days. Like this year west Bengal's famous singer and music composer Anupam Roy and bollywood's renowned singer Ash king had visited our college for their concerts. Previously Rupam islam, shreya Ghosal, Amit Trivedi and many other renowned singer had come to our college. Talking about the sports of our college, there are two big grounds namely lords and oval ground, both the ground are very beautiful and good enough to play sports such as cricket and football. Apart from these there are other sports like basketball, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, swimming,chess and kabbadi There are 15 clubs for different extracurricular activit

My college is one of the best NITs in india. This year it ranked 6th among all the NITs and we know that to get admission into nits we need to clear JEE Mains exam. For general candidates in the year 2022 the cutt off rank to get electronics and telecommunication in iiest shibpur was near about 21k. After securing rank in the jee mains exam one need to apply for the JOOSA councelling . Joosa councelling conducts 6 rounds for seat allotment in different nits,iits,iiits and the gftis. After the 6 rounds of joosa councelling is done CSAB councelling is also conducted to fill the remaining vacant seat after the end of joosa councelling.
