Course Curriculum Overview
All faculty members here have Ph.d in their qualification with relevant industry experience and vast network in academia. Faculty: student ratio is close to 1:50. Term exams are held twice a year and class notes and pyqs are sufficient to secure a 8+ cgpa, leave alone passing the exam
Internships Opportunities
People by the end of 5th semester go for internships as a part if major project.However, talented students and those keen on research do internships even in 2nd yr. IIT Kgp, IIsc Bangalore, iit bombay, iit guwahati, iit kanpur. .you name a institute and you will find BEings shining there...such is the academic environment of our college
Placement Experience
Students after 6th semester become eligible for placements and usually people grab internships at the end of 4th semester in higher educational institutions or relevant workplaces. Frequent industrial visits are also organised by the TPO. This year placements went really well with average package across departments about 12 lpa and 80 percent placement overall....for cse/it avg package was 19 lpa ..foe etce 16.5 lpa for ee 10 lpa for mech/civil/min/mme 8.5 lpa and aerospace around 7 lpa. placements were great in both core and non core sector, with google, amazon, Microsoft offering PPOs in certain cases and tata steel, abg, coal india,lnt offering good core packages
Fees and Financial Aid
The average fees is around 105000 per semester if one is a general candidate without any reservation and takes hostel accommodation. However, GAABESU scholarship and several other scholarships are available for EWS category students and other meritorious students
Campus Life
Annual tech fest is Instruo, being one of the largest tech fests in Eastern India and REBECA is the oldest fest of the country, given our college being the 3rd oldest. Ramanujan Central Library is vast with abundant books and e resources and remains open throughout the week including weekends. Volleyball, basketball, cricket, football, table tennis, chess, badminton.....you name a sport and you find it here....even seniors conduct bicycling sessions with photowalks....There are several clubs enough to ensure holistic development of an individual
Hostel Facilities
4 people sharing hostel rooms are usually available till 3rd year, following which single rooms are available in halls for 4th years for both girls and boys. Mess staff are quite helpful and prepare healthy and a okayish type quality of food. However, they do cater to occasional cravings of students and we have special dinner twice every month and thrice for 4th years. However, hostel facility is available only till 65 km duration for boys and 35 km duration for girls. except for which plenty of PG and rented flats are available at cheap rates with food delivery services
Admission
Admission process for the college was through JOSSA counselling. One has to secure 94+ percentile at least to secure admission in this college even woth home state quota for general category students.
