I chose information techonology branch for 4 years btech because this is very reputed college from 1856 and its faculty is spread all over india. even in all IITs you will found students or proffesor of thus institutes. faculty to student ration is 1:30 but this college has highest no. of phd students then compared to professors. professors are quite strict. all of faculty here are phd qualified from this college or from IITs. our faculty are very good at teaching and lab of our colleges are also quite good. we will get our schedule of semester in advnace and it is srtictly followed and all exam were taken on time. question level of our college is moderate. if mid sem exam is tough then they will make end sem or vice versa.

microsoft is major company which give internship in our college for tech based seats and most of them is provided to girls.many other comapny like oracle, etc are give internship here. most important thing is that if you study in nation institutes with limited seats and which also have a nirf of 35, will not requires any thing extra for intership hiring company. our faculty also very focuses on projects. you have to give a good projects for maximum marks and it must be some unique and publicly related.

our college has good placement records and in y department of information technology ,average ctc is 19 lacs per annum. this year our department has highest placement records in whole college. highest incampus offer is given by microsoft of 45 lpa and highest offcampus offer is 1.5 crores.usually all tech and product based company visits our campus.google and microsoft offers incampus as well as off campus. microsoft is also keen to give internship here escpecially for girls. around 90 % of students were placed according to the placement cell and those who could not get placed are want to pursue higher studies or they get placed via offcampus. my plan is that to join a tech based company for growth of mankind.

fee in this college is quite stable and have rarely increased in past few years. cost of study of this college is uite low and if you are sc and st then you will complete course within 3 lacs including hostel charges.there is also provision for tution fee waiver for financial weak students. you will tution fee waiver according to your parents income. scholarship is also available in this college and funded by college alumni association known as GAABESU. they will provide you scholarship as well as cost of living,eductional or internship travels. you can also works as lab techinician if you were in mtech but not job on campus for btech students.

REBECA is our annual cultural fest and it is oldest cultural fest of whole india.it is celebrated very grandly and before covid pandemic superstars like arijit singh are quite common here.INSTRUO is annual tech fest of this college .it is first conducted by society of information technology but now it is conducted by all departments and clubs of college. books are readily available and almost all types of book even you will find some book of medical science in this college. our class rooms are quite spacious and air condtioned. some of room in department in not air condtioned but ventillated. clubs of sports promotes sports in college and differnt sports events often organised frequently. clubs like catharasis, reflexobeta, euphony,scage ,debsoc,litsoc ,etc

since college is old as well its infrastrutre. so hostel of this colloge is ok ok.but dont expect much from hostel and mess food.in 1st and 2nd year you will get 4 seater hostel but in 3rd 4th year you will get single seater hostles. mess food is also ok ok. they will give you a lite breakfast, then lunch is good and served between 12 to 2 pm. dinner timing is 9 pm and time when most tasty food. registartion process of hostels in this college is very easy and it will only take 1 hr for complete registration and hostels are quite affordable at only 29500 per semester. pg are also easily available in locality and most bengali live in PG or rented room. charges of room or pg will not cost you much as this college is present in very old and area of howrah.thus locality not much developed.

I got this institute via JEE mains examination and application process of jee main is quite tedious.You will only get admitted in this institute via getting a percentile of 95 or above in general category. you must be 12th pass and or equivalent before the time of admission. application form and details are easily found on its official website as well as other sites like collegedunia.com ,etc.seats are also reserved in this institute just like others government institutes for SC, ST, OBC. girls also have a quota of 20 percent seats via supernumeracy. you will get college via josaa /csab/dasa councelling . these online councilling is very tedious and you must take guide for the best college ,no matters what is your percentile . after the allotment you have to come to college for verification an this verfication is quite simple.but you must bring all your required original documents. the improvement i want in this whole clumsy councilling process must be simplified for students.
