Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum and faculty were quite good. faculty are highly qualified and mostly from prestigious IITs and NITs. Classes are conducted on a regular timetable basis and along with that many lab sessions are also conducted to give experimental knowledge about the course. Teaching methods are also very good. Exams are conducted twice a semester and exams are a bit tough to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Visvesvaraya National Institute Of Technology, Nagpur (VNIT) provides various internship opportunities in the 4th semester. They also provide various project work to clarify students' concepts and increase and boost their overall confidence.
Placement Experience
Maybe from the 6th semester students become eligible for placement. Many prestigious Companies visit campus for placement like BPCL etc. With many offers. This year chemical engineering's highest placement was 19.5 lakhs and the average package was around 12 lakhs. Around 85% of students got placement this year. My plan after getting degree is to get a placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is quite high. fee per year is Rs.1,33,700 but there is a fee remission policy provided by the government to SC, ST, PWD, and families with less than 5 lakh income per year. There are many scholarships provided by many organizations which students can avail. There are also job and internship opportunities provided by the college.
Campus Life
Campus life is good at VNIT. Many fests are organized in the college like AAROHI the annual cultural fest and AXIS the annual tech fest organized in the college, are conducted in accordance with college permissions. There is vast availability of books and journals in the library. Classes are well equipped with all study tools and facilities. The college also provides sports opportunities who are interested in sports.
Hostel Facilities
Facilities provided in the room are 1 fan, 2 light bulbs, a balcony, a study table, a cupboard, and a window for ventilation. A meal in the mess is quite good and the mess menu is also nice mess menu is changed every 1-2 months. Hostel registration is done every semester and the average hostel fee for each semester is around Rs.40,000 each.
Admission
I got into this college through JEE Mains conducted by NTA each year. The form of JEE Mains is filled out on the NTA website and the College counseling process is done through JOSSA. Eligibility of the course is that you must pass JEE Mains with considerable percentile.
