Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I had a deep interest in robotics and graphics design from childhood and this course provides me with the same. Facilities are highly qualified and mostly are from prestigious IITs and NITs with huge teaching experience. Exams are conducted twice a semester one mid-sem exam and one end-sem exam and exams are a bit tough to pass.
Internships Opportunities
Visvesvaraya National Institute Of Technology, Nagpur (VNIT) provides various internship opportunities to students in higher semesters and also gives various project works to students to clarify the concepts of the concerned topics.
Placement Experience
Students who become eligible for placement offers may be in the 5th or 6th semester. Many companies visit campus for placement offers and offers are made in good numbers. This year's average package was about 12 lakhs per annum. A good percentage of people get placement. My plan after getting my degree is to get a good placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee at the college is quite high. It costs Rs.133700 per year excluding the hostel and mess fee. Hostel and mess fee charges approx Rs.80000 per year. The college also provides an exemption from paying tuition fees ( Rs.62500) to SC, ST and PWD students while other students having a family income of less than 1 lakh are also exempted from paying tuition fees and students having a family income of more than 1lakh and less than 5 lahks are required to pay only one- third of the tuition fee. There are also many other scholarships like NSP which students can avail.
Campus Life
VNIT is not only focused on academics but also on other fields. VNIT organises many fests in the college of which AAROHI is the annual cultural fest and AXIS is the annual tech fest along with these many other fests are also organised like CULT-NITE, FRESHERS etc. Classrooms are well equipped with all teaching tools required and all facilities like fans, and ACs. There is also huge availability of sports on campus and almost all marks are available. VNIT also have many clubs like PRAYAAS club( social club), Hallo Bol ( Dramatics club), E-cell, dance clubs, literature club, painting club, music club etc.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is that you have to crack JEE Mains with considerable percentile. The application form for JEE Mains is available on the NTA website and the College counselling process is done through JOSSA.
