Course Curriculum Overview
Computer science and engineering provide a whole lot of opportunities to get placed in prestigious companies. The placement of CSE in NIT Manipur is very great that's why I opted for it. The faculties are very much qualified. Exams are conducted monthly and you need to study hard to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The internship is offered from 6th semester onwards by companies like Bel, Amazon, Cognizant, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra. Projects are given the most emphasis to increase the practical experience of the students.
Placement Experience
From the 6th semester, the students become eligible for placements. Almost all tech giants visit the campus like Amazon, Cognizant, Discovery, Samsung, Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, etc. The highest package offered is 47 LPA by Amazon and the average package is 10 LPA. 70% of the students get placed and you can opt for higher studies too.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are quite nominal provided the quality of education provided in NIT Manipur. For students from reserved categories, there is a certain level of scholarship on tuition fees. Students can also get access to different scholarships such as FFE, NSP, etc. Research students get a monthly stipend for their work, which is a moderate sum.
Campus Life
Flashmob is the tech fest which is conducted in April while Ougri is the annual fest conducted in October every year. The library is full of good and authentic books but it is small and might not contain books from several different fields. Classroom style is pretty basic and not well maintained and it requires a lot of improvement. Sports facilities are quite good and a sports meet is conducted every year. There are several Instagram pages and websites for students which are run by student groups such as Kalam_Club and techtussle.
Hostel Facilities
The room is pretty basic which included a bed, an almirah, a study table, and a chair for each student. We get three-time meals alongside tea in the evening. Food sometimes is not up to the mark, especially breakfast. Hostel registration is simple and can be done through the college website. The hostel is very much affordable(Rs. 57000/yr).
Admission
You need to clear Jee Main with a good rank to get admission to this college. Reservation is provided for SC/ST, OBC, and GEN EWS. The application can be done on the NTA website for JEE main. The Application fee is Rs 650.
