Course Curriculum Overview

The computer science engineering course is considered the most recognised course in B Tech. The faculties are very talented and supportive. There is always a student-friendly environment created by the faculties. The exams are held monthly and you need to prepare well to score good marks in exams.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities start coming from the mid of the 6th semester only. Companies like Amazon, L&T, and Cognizant offer a lot of internships for students. Also, IIT Bombay came up with an internship in the field of IOT at a convincing stipend.

Placement Experience

Placement is very attractive because tech giants visit the campus for recruitment. Companies like Amazon, Bel, L&T, Cognizant, Samsung, etc visit the college for placement drives. The highest package offered was by Amazon at Rs 47 LPA. The average package is around Rs 10 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fee for college is Rs 75000 and you can get a scholarship based on reservation. Financial assistance can be accessed by availing an education loan from banks. Job opportunities start from pretty early in 6th semester only.

Campus Life

Flash Mob is the name of the Tech Fest and it is conducted in the month of April. The library is having books with quality content that can be accessed anytime. The sports facility is quite impressive and there is a sports meet every year in the month of April.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is quite basic. Almirah, bed, study table and chair is provided only. Mess food is hygienic but not up to mark. You can apply for hostel through the college website. Hostel fees is quite affordable.

Admission

You need to appear for Jee Main and score a good rank to get admission to NIT Manipur. You can fill out the form on the NTA website. Application fees are Rs 650 for a male and 325 for a female candidate. Reservation benefits can be availed while taking admitted to college.

The curriculum is average and mostly theory-based. Core CS subjects are covered, but practical learning, updated content, and flexible electives are limited, so we students must rely on self-study. And the exams are also monthly so you have to work on your own to study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The good side is the academics: CSE covers programming, operating systems, algorithms, AI, NLP, databases and related math, with regular curriculum updates in consultation with industry. ECE (including VLSI & Embedded Systems) includes communication systems, control, image processing, CMOS design, IoT, ML and AI, with strong emphasis on labs and projects. Recent placement data shows an overall placement rate around 80–85%, with CSE doing better than ECE, and a highest package near 40 LPA and average around 8–9 LPA for 2024, which is solid for a young IIIT. The transit campus at Mantripukhri still has essentials like Wi?Fi campus, library, labs, auditorium, hostels, faculty housing and playgrounds.

We are juniors so we really dont know about the placements no faculty told how much average what is the highest placement and we himself didnt ask seniors about the placements also in website they mention it is 9 lacks average but we dont the reality inside

Placement Experience:

I am a first year student so I have a limited knowledge about this , pehaps from 6th 7th semester you become eligible for placements , Deloitte and other companies , highest is 45 lakhs , median is around 13 to 14 lakhs. Percentage of students placement is low , I don't know the exact number. My plans after this I don'ts even know.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum and the teaching method is good but according to our education system it follws the old teaching style, teachers are good though. Here in the campus we have many restrictions thats not good at all.

About NIT MANIPUR

I have applied to many private collages like LPU, Paurul univerity , Saastra , vit , klu, vignan , DR. MGR, satyabhama like these many collages. And i got confirmed admission from NIT MANIPUR . By writing JEE mains i got good percentile and kept for councling and NTA has alloted this collage. As it is good collage i also accepted the seat .
