The Automobile nerds

The college need to improve in its infrastructure & cleanliness . Many more placements can be brought forward for the need of students.

We chose Automobile . The course which i chose seemed to be a bit more different from the courses that other people have chosen . I always wanted to race in the world .Bikes , cycles , cars everything i watched on TV was about racing . This racing has brought me here to the automobile world. College has given us a few practical learning which is according to course . I had taken a 70 day internship program at Bosch car service . This helped me to understand the basic car repairs & service . The college has taken us to 3 Automobile plant visits . This has helped us to see the automobile world more closely . I would like to do more of such automotive internships which us increase the knowledge of the present day automobiles

Yes . We can search for internships in our vacation time. As Ahmadabad is a big city it is easy to get a internship here for any field.

The average Placements in automobile department is about 6-7Lakhs per annum !! Many companies have visited our campus such as, TATA motors , Suzuki motors , mahindra & mahindra , Sonalika tractors etc. The placement in automobile is quite low as compared to other fields such as Computer , Electrical & IT. But if u have talent , u have a 100% chance of getting placed in out campus placements

Many major events are held in LDCE . Many of them are EGVC ( Eco green vehicle challenge ) Lakshya ( LDCE techfest) GTU techfest ( alternate year) Xitij ( Classical dance championship ) LDCE sports cup GTU cricket cup LAA garba night ( Navratri garba)

My college was a government funded college . So there was no fees for the girls , but there was 1500₹ fees per semester for the boys

Yes there is scholarship facility available for the SC/ST students and the handicapped students.

Many extracurriculars activites are performed in the college itself , a few examples are here : LDCE motorsports ( BAJA competition) GT motorsports ( Formula student competition) Robocon ( GTU & LDCE ) Vox populi club ( The cultural club of college )

My other friends lived in the hostel . I stayed nearby so i was not allowed to use the hostel. But i have been to hostel quite a few times. Many reviews i hear about hostel were positive. But as all of us know no hostel provides the food , that we get in our homes!!The toilets are average here & the rooms are also average.

Alumni networks is very good here . The alumni network have started a cheap UPSC training in the college which is very helpful to the needy people. Moreover the garba event is organised by the Alumni network (LAA)

The automobile faculties are very much involved with us. They are much like friends ,at the same time they make u stretch to achieve your dreams , which i think is a positive way of approach to students . The faculty have taught us very well in the previous semesters and will surely continue to do so.
