The best college for an engineer in Bangalore

As my title says it is one of the best colleges in Karnataka and in India, a very good infrastructure, sometimes film shootings takes place in our campus a very beautiful campus, a very vast and a good clean canteen, overall the best 3 years of my life.

I wrote DCET entrance exam, got a ranking around 3600(approx), i had heard that this was one of the best colleges in Karnataka so i took up this college, I took up mechanical as my course because i had done my diploma in the same field so i had to continue with the same.

The course which i chose was very good, there was lots of focus given for the practical learning, we had very good labs, yes almost all the departments had their own research centers and most of the faculties had involved in the research fields.

For internships and they support and even the college provides the internships, they tie up with the companies and give internships to the students, only sometimes we get the stipend amount i didn’t receive any stipend amount.

IT companies were more which came to our college, no core companies used to visit the college, Ec and IS branches had a very good placement. Only one or two core companies had come for our branch. average package was around 4-6 lakhs.

They give much importance to the kannada culture programmes, once in a year we have the fests happening in the college, college is very supportive for the same, the sports are also held in the college, there are lots of winners from our college in sports for state and national level.

The fees structure for the first year was Rs 62000 (CET + tuition fees), from second year and third year i paid Rs52000, for the final year it was Rs68000, apart for all these we had to pay the exam fees of Rs560.

College doesn’t provide any scholarship, but the government scholarships are provided to the students through the college.

Extra curricular is very good in our college.

I didn’t stay in the hostel, The food was good, the hostel was number 1 and a better one comparing to the hostels of other college. But the only complaint is it is very costly.

Very good and an active alumni network, Once in a year we get an chance to meet our juniors guide them up, and help them to build the future, we also have a alumni identity card where the alumni are allowed inside the campus anytime.

The exams were conducted in a very strict manner, we had three internals out of which best of two was selected, For labs there was only one internal.

Most of them were M.tech, some of them had P.hd degree, The teaching was excellent, They were experienced and enhanced in their own field, the standard of teaching was outstanding, they were very much interactive with the students.
