UEM is a AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY approved by the UGC.

College is overall good if u want to live in kolkata or west bengal and dont want to leave your parents, if u are comfortable in going out of WB then give some other colleges a chance. It is the university of IEM KOLKATA which is one of the best colleges in WEST BENGAL

UEM take admission through various examination. Firstly Jee Mains , Secondly they have their own exam which is the IEMJEE. After getting selected u have to submit your document details to the college and there was nothing like a interview while taking admission.

BTECH is quite good and they try to give the practical exposure but somewhere its like all other engineering colleges in INDIA , lacking somewhere in practical learning. Research initiative is quite good and they encourages student to make Papers and reports, some events are also held and u can also give your research paper in foreign countries.

The college do provide internship for some top ranker people other have to search for it in some websites. Student says that they have a good experience working and get a average stipend of 2k - 5k or at free of cost u have to do internship.

Placement havent happened till now for UEM KOLKATA but its other branches are like UEM JAIPUR have good placement with student getting 2-3 job offers from majorly the mass recruiters. Like TCS, INFOSYS.

Technical Fest is quite good but not the cultural fest they are quite boring but u will get to learn alot from various TechFEST. the footfall is around 1000 of any fest , they organise it quite well and call some distinguished person from different part of the world to share about theirexperience and teach the students

fee is 60000 INR per semester. fee is same as normally of all the colleges in West Bengal. Admission Fee is 24000 . which u have to pay once and examination fee of 1400 INR is taken

Student Above 90 Percent Marks Are Eligible For 100% Scholarship

UEM HAVE Intra Football and cricket tournament apart from that they have different club like drama, photography , singing.

I didnt resided in the hostel but Hostel charges are 84000 INR per year in which they provide u fooding and lodging apart from that many houses are available in shapurji housing complex @ 2000 INR per month for lodging in a double room . Food is quite good for Bengalis, non bengali think twice before the decision

As the college is a branch of IEM so it have a good alumini network and do provide interaction with the alumini

Schedule is quite hectic. Exams are held after 2 months.If u are not living somewhere around it u are going to be tired at the end of the day.

Faculty is quite good and qualified , some of them are from IIT's and other good colleges of West Bengal. Teachers are very much interactive and i feel that they try to give their 100% to student and they also use projector and slides to make learning intresting
