Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is at par with any top MBA college in India. A lot of practical learning is provided. The students are prepared for real-life business encounters. I chose the course because of its vast coverage of the marketing course and the practical approach of the teachers. The student-teacher ratio is 50:1. All the teachers hold Phd degrees. All the teachers focus on imposing practical learning along with theory knowledge. The term is scheduled timely and can be passed comfortably with due preparation.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides excellent internship opportunities to the students. Roles are provided in every industry. Students get internships in BFSI, FMCG, and IT companies, The average stipend is 85000 for two months.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for placements after the 4th semester. More than 120 companies visited for the campus recruitment and they made 1 to 15 offers. The highest salary offered is INR 65 lacs and the average package is 17.35 lakhs per year. The profiles offered ranged from analyst to management trainee. 100% of students were placed. My plan after getting the degree is to get a job and gain corporate experience for a few years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for 2 years is Rs.1953000. It includes food and accommodation. There is no fee hike from the previous year, it is the same as last year. There are scholarships worth 1400000 for economically weaker section students. Girls get 25% off on the entire two years fee. 100% of students who opted for placements got placed from the campus placement. The average salary is Rs.17,35,000 for the last passed batch.
Campus Life
Life on campus is busy and vibrant. There is a lot of fun as well. "Milaap" is conducted every year. Apart from this, " chakraviyu" for sports is also conducted. The library is huge as all types of books magazines novels and newspapers are available there. The classrooms are big and air-conditioned. It consists of projector blackboard tables chairs lights fan etc. There is a big ground on campus for cricket and football. There is badminton, basketball court as well. many clubs such as anti-ragging clubs, student welfare clubs etc. run for students by students.
Hostel Facilities
I am staying in the hostel. The rooms are twin-sharing, each room consists of two chairs two tables two almirahs two beds one air conditioner two lights and a fan. The menu is vast and all types of food are provided such as south Indian, north Indian, Chinese etc. The meal is of very good quality. Hostel registration is done on the day of programme registration and is simple and hassle-free. The hostels are affordable as well.
Admission
The admission process was really smooth. There was no hurry or chaos in the entire process. The admission officials were helpful. I applied for the PGDM-Marketing course for which the eligibility was - a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. A valid test score (any one of cat/xat/gmat). Firstly, we have to fill out the admission form. Then, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of 10th marks, 12th marks, graduation marks and entrance test scores. A written test is conducted i.e. we have to write an essay on the given topic. After that, a personal interview is conducted. Then, the final merit list is published. The cut-off for cat and xat generally ranges between 88 percentile to 98 percentile. The application form can be found on the college website. A common admission form for all three campuses of IMT in India is available for Rs.2500. If we talk about improvement, the merit list can be published a little earlier.
Interview Experience
Yes. I faced written tests and personal interviews for admission. We were asked to write an essay on the advantages or disadvantages of artificial technology. Questions were asked regarding the undergraduate course, statement of purpose and hobby-related questions were there. I read as many articles as I could for the written test. For the interview, I prepared the general interview questions.
