Course Curriculum Overview
I was fairly sure of what to opt for in counselling so I went for CSE with AI as my major. The branch is good with a decent pool of teachers and peers. The faculty-to-student ratio in the CSE dept is 1:12.All the faculty members are Phd holders from reputed institutions, their details are publically available on the institute website. The exams are regularly conducted, two quizzes and one major per semester and the level is moderate.
Placement Experience
Avg placements are good. Many students do get placed with decent packages. Many opt for higher studies. The highest package last year was of 42 lakhs but it was off-campus. It is going to be just fine if you focus on skill acquisition when the time is ripe.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is only in ADC. There has not been any major tuition fee hike. There is no such scene of paid jobs at least up to the second year on campus. But if you are academically sound you might land a paid research internship subject to any vacancy and your proficiency.
Campus Life
The name of the techfest is Vashisht and the cultural fest is Samgatha. Bth is conducted in the month of feb-march. There is another smaller fest by the name Meraki for first-year students. It is conducted in August to the best of my knowledge.
Admission
The admission process was fairly simple. It is through jossa after the mains exam. The closing rank for CS-AI in my branch was 17k in the general category. I would like to see more seats for good colleges.
