Course Curriculum Overview
During the counseling process, I was allotted this course and since I want to study at a reputed Engineering college, I chose this. The faculty: student ratio is around 1:20. For each semester, approximately one has to get through 20 credits which consist of 5 theory courses and 3 lab courses. The faculty in this college are highly experienced and qualified and almost everyone holds a Ph.D. There will be one mid-sem exam of 30% weightage and one end-sem exam of 50% weightage per semester and one has to cross at least 40 out of 100. The rest 20% consists of Teacher's Assessments.
Internships Opportunities
Pre-final year students are eligible for internship opportunities. The companies start coming to our campus to hire interns in the month of August. Companies hire interns for both technical and non-technical roles. Each company sets its own eligibility criteria for students to hire for various roles.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to sit for placements just after reaching the final year of their course. A lot of companies visit our college for recruiting students and on average every company recruits 5 students. Categories like software, consulting and analytics, electronics and power industries related companies visit. Around 92% of students get placed every year. The highest package offered is 50 LPA in the software sector.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee per year is around 1,20,000. The college provides you a fee concession if your parent's income level is below 5lakh or you belong to SC/ST category. There will be a full tuition fee concession if your parent's income level is below 1 lakh and a 2/3rd fee concession if income is 2-5 lakh. You should be able to submit your parent's income certificate to be eligible for this fee waiver.
Campus Life
Every year, our college conducts 3 fests which include INNOVISION (technical), NITRUTSAV (cultural), and VRIDDHI (sports). There is a huge library in our college which consists of tons of books related to every topic that you want and you are free to read either in the library itself or take away it. Our classrooms are centralized with AC and few contain a television for better screening. There are various sizes of our classroom which can occupy 40 students to 150 students. There are around 20 active clubs in our college where students actually improve their skills here. The categories of clubs include technical, drama, dance, and so on.
Admission
The process of getting into this college is to first qualify JEE-MAINS examination conducted by NTA twice a year with at least below 1 lakh rank. Generally, this exam is conducted in January and April months in a year. There are some reservation benefits for those students who belong to SC, ST, and OBC categories. Approximately,10 lakh students apply for this exam all over INDIA.
