SRM University- where you learn, leap and lead.The placements are quite good for CS and IT branches but when it comes to non-computer branches placements in core company, it is quite difficult, but not impossible. You have to work hard to get dream offers i.e. packages more than 6 lacs per annum. Everything is possible in SRM if you work hard as they bring big companies to the campus. It is your task to get maximum benefits.

To get admission you need to write SRMEEE entrance test which will be held in both online and offline, based on your rank you have to attend the counselling. I have choosen Software Engineering branch which is the sub branch of cse, the placements opportunity for this branch is equal as cse branch.

Software Engineering branch contains purely software subjects which teaches us current trends of IT industry, you will also have the electives in which you can choose any kind of subject from any department without restrictions. you can also learn one foreign language as elective.

There are very few internships offered by the college.The average stipend will be around 15k per month. There is also one program called SAP(semester abroad program) in which you can do one of your semester in some top universities in abroad with some extra fee.

The placements are good enough considering the fact that SRM is a private university. For my batch i.e. in 2017 around 400 top companies visited for on-campus placements. Few companies were mass recruiting while the others were core companies. These companies include Wipro,CTS, Hitachi, Infosys, Royal Enfield, TCS, Hyundai and many more. There are very few internships offered by the college. For mass recruiting companies, roles such as to data entry were offered to the students while for core companies, roles were according to their branches offered. The average salary offered is Rs. 3,25,000 to Rs. 4,00,000 .

Tution fee will be around 25000, it doesnot include books fee. Hostel fee depends upon your required facilities. it ranges from 1.5 lakhs to 3 lakhs.If you want to stay in international hostels then it may exceed.

Mess food will be worst. Rooms are fine.3 people for each room, you can choose your roommates. we have to pay hostel and food fee.we cannot pay accomodation fee seperately without food fee. food fee is must if we stay in hostel.

For every semester you will have one cycle test, model exams, and then final external exams cycle test>>model lab exams>>model theory>>external lab>>external theory.

Faculty members depend on person to person. Some teachers are great but some are the worst. But overall, it is good and helpful. They have some knowledge and use the projector method to teach with PPTs. The faculty-student ratio is 1 teacher for 70 students.
