Remarks

The course is excellent but the management needs improvement. There should be more extracurricular activities and workshops in the campus. The college should take us to industrial trips. I'm somewhat satisfied with the college but it really needs improvement.

Entrance Preview

To enter in this course, I had to appear in the entrance test of the institute. The entrance exam usually held in last week of May or in the first-second week of June. The question paper consists of questions from general knowledge, computer fundamentals, science and some beginner level maths. The overall difficulty level is Medium. The results are declared after 10-15 days of the commencement of examination. The top 60 students gets the opportunity to apply first for the admission and then the waiting list students gets the chance. There are no interview process. I choose this course because I was and I'm passionate about computers and softwares. This course is a 3 year degree course that means you'll graduate one year before engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is pretty good and I take immense pride in the fact that I chose this course. The course is mostly a practical one. Every subjects taught in the course have their practical importance. We're provided with all the necessary labs and equipment s to perform practicals. We're assigned projects by the institute to help grow our practical learning.

Internships Opportunities

The college haven't provided any internship yet. However, we've been part of lots of workshop held in the campus. In the first semester we got the opportunity to attend content writing workshop. It was a mind blowing one. Then we were the part of various programming languages workshops. The management has promised us to provide internship, the next year.

Placement Experience

2.5

Being the student of 2nd year, I don't know much about placement companies. But, as the faculty informed us that Indian IT giants such as TCS and HCL visits the campus. They give around ₹2-4 lacs per annum.

College Events

2.5

The college mostly organised sports events and Christmas Eve celebration. The sports event usually consists of cricket, football and table tennis tournaments. The organisation managed it pretty well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course is not that expensive here in ECIMT, If compared to other institutions providing the same course. The fees per year is around 41000 and we also get the scholarship from the state government which is nearly equal to or more than the college fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't provides any scholarship on its own however we get a scholarship from the state government which is nearly more than our course fee.

Campus Life

4

The college organised various events and we're given the opportunity to host them. The college arranges various technical and personality development workshops.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No, I don't reside in hostels. The college do not have its own hostel but there are tons of hostels and rooms available for the students. Some of my friends resides there in the hostel. The rooms situated around the campus nearly costs 2000-3000 per month. There are lots of restaurants and food corners and some them provide really good meal at an average of ₹40-50.

Alumni/Alumna

This is the first batch of BCA of ECIMT. We don't have any seniors.

Exam Structure

Every semester we've 3 exams. First and second sessional and then the end-semester exam. We're given a proper gap to study and prepare for the examination. We do not feel tired. However, to be true, we're given a lots of assignment which makes us tired.

Faculty

4

The teachers are well qualified. All the teachers who teaches us have done their masters and have 2-3 years of experience on an average. Some teachers are really good in interaction and they make classes run without any boredom. On an average, the teaching faculty is very good.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
