Entrance Preview
I took the IP University CET exam that is an exclusive entrance exam for IP university and affiliated colleges.I scored 3558 rank and chose IT as second option over CS. Other options were BVP Pune, VIT vellore, Jaypee greater noida. The reputation of this college and being in Delhi made me choose it over the others.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is the tried and tested for years as in other engineering colleges of India but there is not much attention to actual hands-on research so far.The faculty is qualified and very dedicated.The equipment and facilities however are not up to the mark. Students to teachers ratio is poor and so is students to equipment ratio in some labs.
Internships Opportunities
There were no internship opportunities so far till 3rd semester but hoping to see some in the next semester.
Placement Experience
Job opportunities are average, with the average package in my branch ranging from 2-3 lakhs p.a. Most students are placed in companies that hire in bulk like tcs, Infosys, etc. Hiring is getting tougher as each year passes.
College Events
College festivals are poor and hardly any colleges come to participate or attend the events, two or three at the most. The faculty is not cooperative in such events and sticks to the bare minimum to call it a college festival.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no known scholarships or loans.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is nearly 90:20 in my branch and as low as 200:2 in the mechanical branch.There are a handful active societies that go to other colleges and take part in numerous competitions, there is a major lack of college culture. Sports is negligible, the field or court are only available during trials and practice is only allowed after the college timings.
Alumni/Alumna
College seniors have the same feeling of lac of college culture and much to do in college and the attendance of students reflects the fact. Interaction is limited to the very few active societies.
