I didn't write any entrance exam. I got admission directly with the help of an interview. I was a logic oriented person and love doing coding, so I opted computer science.

Course Curriculum Overview

Amazing course. I am graduated in B.Tech(CSE). Yes there are many research initiative taken by MMU to be best in the industry.

Internships Opportunities

Yes they provide internship. I got my internship in code Brew Labs from college . The stipend company provided me was 5K per month for 6 months.

Placement Experience

The placement secerio was good in 2016 when I passed out. I got placed in 6 companies in total out of which 2 were top MNCs. The average package go there ranges between 2.4 LPA- 3.5 LPA

Yes we have universmm happening in MMU every year which include all the technical and cultural fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was neither expensive not cheap. Just a go with normal figures. 1.4 lakhs per year. And hostel charges were seperate from college fees.

Yes. I was a hostel resident. Hostels are quite cool there and even pgs are available in nearby areas. Food is good in hostels as well as within college Area

It is a chill culture. They do occur regularly but to enhance your skills, not to increase pressure on you.

The faculty in MMU is amazing. They really taught us well both curriculum and how to survive in industry. There were some Industry experts as well interacting on regular intervals.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I applied to IGMC shimla and SLBSMCH nerchowk . This college however had better academics and faculty. Yes i got rejected as i did not reach the cutoff for admission NEET UG. Admission is simple 3 counselling rounds decided by NTA. You need to reach a cutoff in NEET amd on the basis of marks you get admitted. Around 450 marks out of 720 and you are set....Read More
