Short description of TINT

I choose this field as I was interested in this stream. The student-faculty ratio is decent, like each class gets a teacher for a subject and that seems pretty okay for the college. The seams were not on time due to covid but generally, they occur on time.

Mostly internships are unpaid. Some internships do give stipend but not much rather it is sufficient for travelling only. Projects are really important according to the teachers, they say to maintain a good portfolio this helps in selection for internships and in jobs.

The placement starts from the 6th semester but it is very important to maintain a good gpa if you wish to get a descent package. TCS and Capgemini are the main recruiters from the campus. Some mncs like Amazon and Microsoft also hire students but it is very rare. Most of the students are placed till the end of fourth year.

The fee structure is such that the first-year fee is almost 1.5x what we generally pay for the rest of the semesters. There is a 10k extra deposit in the first year as caution money but is returned after graduation. The scholarship is available only for students of West Bengal. The campus does provide placements but mostly by mass recruits.

The campus is pretty okay considering the location and the requirements for admission to the college. There are lots of clubs that provide good exposure and knowledge of different areas without much investment. The infrastructure is not up to the mark but it is still under construction and in the coming years this college will surely have a good infrastructure.

The selection takes place through wbjee. I am a student of b tech in EE and the rank requirement is around 14k for this stream. The details of the application and fees are available on the college site. Just google it and it is easy to find.
