Nice experience

I chose Computer Science and Engineering at IIT ISM Dhanbad because of mainly two reasons. One is, that I have a keen interest in software technologies and the other thing is the growing demand for artificial intelligence across the world. facilities are good at my college, it's about 1:20 in ratio. Faculties are well qualified, even some of them are Ph.D. from foreign universities. There are semester exams which are conducted in 3 steps. First, you will have two quizzes of 10 marks each.2nd you will have mid sem exam then at the last three will be end semester exam. exams conducted here are not so easy .you will have to study consciously to get good marks.

There is a separate body of the college called CDC(career development center) for providing internships to the students. many companies approach CDC. CDC circulates emails to the students and hence selected students get internships.

From the 7th semester, I guess, you will be eligible for placements. There are around 1100 offers made during the 2022-23 placement seasons. The highest on-campus placement was 56 lacs and the average package was around 19 lacs .approx 90 percent of students got placed on my campus. after getting my degree, I hope to get a job in the IT sector with a decent package.

There are no fee hike policies for now. The fees are fixed and regulated by government bodies. You will get an MCM scholarship which has certain eligibility under which you will get back your fees and an extra 10000 per year.

There are a lot of cultural and tech clubs at my college for student development. Clubs are pretty much active so after joining these clubs, certainly you will be learning good things. senior junior is good enough here. The campus is very lush green and has beautiful scenery in itself. So overall life on campus is very chill.

In the hostels, you will be provided with one chair and one table. Everyone will get two sitter rooms except fourth-year students. Fourth-year students are getting single rooms from this year only .beside this, you will be provided with LAN. The registration process for a hostel is very simple. you will have to fill out 1-2 forms during hostel allotment day and you will be provided accordingly. if you are a day scholar then you can take rooms in Park Market.

For getting admission into my college (IIT Dhanbad) you will have to qualify for jee mains exam followed by JEE advanced exam with a decent rank .you will find the application for jee mains on the NTA site and the application for jee advanced on jee advanced site. The reservations are there for getting admission to IITs.
